Shortly? TTEchidna 01:16, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Yeah,what do want to mean with "shortly"?--Haruka uzumaki

It's been like that since February 27th, 2005. I don't think it will change. --Shiny NoctowlTalk | Fun 20:54, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Maybe eventually. After all, you can expect that we admins have been busy as hell for a looooong time. TTEchidna 21:41, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Since no one else was doing anything, I started an article. It still need some work though. --Shiny NoctowlTalk|Contribs 23:01, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

I suppose its a bit too obvoius to add how to do bullet points... Evee! Idle Chit chat 18:14, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

for the most part, it's already in the manual of style. ~Kenn 18:23, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Is it possible to center images? Cassius335 12:36, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

linking images

How do you link images? I've experimented loads but it never works. PS: What's CSS? Sonic Pikachu 18:31, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Well, what do you mean by "how do you link images"? --FabuVinny T-C-S 18:47, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Like, when you click on a image, it goes to a certain page. It's for missions. O yeah, if no ones busy, could someone tell me how to make the RTP bit smaller like Shiny Noctowl's?Sonic Pikachu RTP 18:59, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Wait, I've done the small writing bit.Sonic Pikachu RTP1#fan 19:08, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

On the subject of images, is there a way to put an image on a page without uploading it? Dolphins_are_awesome (and Vulpix are too)! 01:05, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

What's the difference.

What is the difference between Editting help & the Bulbapedia Manual of Style?I think they Should be merged.--Pokemondpdecoder 05:39, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

It isn't. This is basic help for a wiki in general. TTEchidna 05:48, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
we could link to it in the "see also" because that could be what they are looking for; I know I've done that before... --TiTAn 21:16, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

is there any way to do html on a page?

Shiny Rayquaza 14:19, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Which HTML elements do you want to use? Some elements may have equivalents in MediaWiki markup: for example, use '''x''' instead of <strong>x</strong> or [ Example] instead of <a href="">Example, or ---- instead of <hr>, or MediaWiki table markup instead of <table>. Some other elements work in MediaWiki already, such as <div>, <span>, <del>, <br>. --Tepples 19:27, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Why does the page have the incomplete template, Yet it is protected?Shiny Rayquaza 20:07, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm wondering the same thing. I was about to add info on underlining and such, but the page was protected. But what i can get from it, the page was protected because people add false information. But i'm not sure. ShinyPikachu 00:38, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
I've taken the tag off for now; it doesn't really need much added to it, not enough to warrant the tag at least.
And it's protected because it's a higher target for vandalism, as well as like you said; it's supposed to be one of the first pages a user might read through when they start editing, so it's double-important that it not be edited by everyone.
If you've got stuff you think should be added, feel free to post it here, and I'll just move it over to the article itself. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 13:32, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Interwiki links from Archives back to Bulbapedia

Apparently, the help pages at Bulbagarden Archives redirect to these help pages at Bulbapedia. But the section "Incomplete list of interwiki prefixes" doesn't list any way to interwiki link from a file description on Archives back to relevant Bulbapedia articles. I first guessed b:, bulba:, bulbapedia:, and :en:, none of which worked. Nor does the extension to list all interwiki prefixes appear to be installed. After a couple more tries, during which I contemplated using external link syntax or just citing the titles of the relevant Bulbapedia articles without any link syntax, I finally guessed that bp: is the correct interwiki prefix to link from Archives to Bulbapedia. Could an administrator add this to "Incomplete list of interwiki prefixes"? --Tepples 19:18, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

You use { {bp|Page Title|Displayed Text} } or { {bp|Page Title} } without the spaces between the brackets. EACreator1 (talk) 16:33, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

In the "Not Encoding Things" section there's a spelling error. --Landfish7 21:40, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

Table of Contents

How do you make that table of contents thing? Ssjan 21:24, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

A table of contents is automatically added when you have enough sections on the page. It goes above the first section header of the page. You can place it on the page yourself by putting __TOC__. --SnorlaxMonster 15:10, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Is there a way to upload an external image into an infobox? I'm trying to do that on my userspace and it isn't working. I get this.

caption= These represent my current games.|
hometown=[[Twinleaf Town]], [[Littleroot Town]] |
region=[[Sinnoh]], [[Hoenn]] |
game=yes |
generation=[[Generation IV|IV]], [[Generation III|III]]|
games={{game|Platinum}}, {{game|Emerald}} |
gender=Female |
footnotes=If any}}

This seems to be the problem area. image=| size=250px|

I have no idea why this is. Help? Ikarishipper900 21:06, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

It's to do with the way the infobox is set up. You cannot do it, as the image would need to be uploaded to the archives. You will need to get the code of the template and modify it from there (put {{subst:CharInfobox| at the start). --SnorlaxMonster 15:10, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
Brain......... hurts. Put it at the start of where? Sorry, I'm still learning the coding stuff. Ikarishipper900 21:40, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
I mean put {{subst:CharInfobox| instead of {{CharInfobox|. It will replace it with raw code once you save the page. From there, you can modify it to suit your needs. The problem is that those templates are not designed for use in the userspace, so they often need to be tweaked to work. --SnorlaxMonster 11:17, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Ohhh. Okay. I think I can manage that and I will try soon. Thanks! :) Ikarishipper900 11:50, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Templates: How on Earth am I Supposed to Edit them!?!?

Alright, so, before we begin, I'll just get one thing out of the way: Important information is in RED.

Okay, so here's the thing: I'm making my userpage and I'm putting in all kinds of usertags and I'm amking sure that they're all really neat and organized, but when I came to the "Battle Revolution Friend Code" Tag, It says on it: "This user's Wii friend code for Pokémon Battle Revolution is {{{1}}}." Now, the thing is, I can't figure out how to edit the {{{1}}} thing (which I recently found out is called a "template") so that I can put in my FC! All of the editing help topics on templates only describe what they are, where they are used, and how to insert one into an edit! THEY ARE (pretty much) NO HELP TO ME AT ALL!!! I want to know how to change the default text inside the braces (these things → {}) so that I can make my FC appear! How on Earth do I do this?!?!? I need help!!! :°( I seriously don't know how to edit wikis that much, so I know for a fact that I'll DEFINITELY need IN-DEPTH instructions on how the heck I edit templates. I've only been a BP user since 10/10/2010, and I only started making edits on 1/10/2011, so I'm pretty new at this stuff. So basically, I need help with editing templates and I need help from ANYONE with a lot of knowledge about them! So, I guess that's it. Someone, ANYONE, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Pikachu9000 21:01, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

{{User Battle Revolution Code|#####}}. <Copy and paste. Of course, you'd change the number signs to your friend code. --☆ヨッシ の世界☆ 21:07, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

Thanks a bunch! You sure saved my Userpage! Thanks so much! I just never knew how to do that before, so I'm just happy that I know now. Thanks again!

Right to edit one's own personal CSS

Was it an intended effect that people cannot customize personal CSS before becoming autoconfirmed? Is there a recommended workaround that will allow users who have not been autoconfirmed to produce the equivalent of personal CSS? --Tepples 14:54, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Big typo?

There is some wierd thingy in the section "Not encoding stuff". Setence 2, it says
"code <>
Shouldnt it say
Latias1290 17:22, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

Fixed. --SnorlaxMonster 06:32, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Not encoding Errors

On the "Not encoding things" part there were a few mistakes, the first one is the "code <>" as someone mentioned above, and the second one is the common "to, instead of too" error. Also, the W only puts up <nowiki>Insert non-formatted text here</nowiki>, so you still have to put the <code>, and </code> part to make it look like ''Example'' instead of ''Example'' - unsigned comment from IVsaur (talkcontribs)

Fixed. I basically edited it to say that <code> tags are not needed, but are preferable, but the button does not provide that. --SnorlaxMonster 06:32, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Personal CSS

I can't seem to figure this out. It says "To edit the CSS, a user should type in "User:username/monobook.css".", but it doesn't say where to type it. I have lots of experience with Wiki stuff but this one thing has puzzled me for a while. Can someone please tell me how to do it? Thanks. Gtrainer108 (talk) 13:13, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

Ok, I figured out what it means, I just read it wrong. Gtrainer108 (talk) 10:44, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

Watchlist error

So... I can't seem to add or remove anything from my watchlist. The notification in the top right corner is displaying "An error occurred while changing your watchlist settings for "<page>"." Is there a way for me to to fix this personally, or is it server-side? Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 13:32, 7 November 2013

Added note: I can add and remove things from my watchlist using the check box when editing, but not the button on the top of the page. Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 13:34, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
