Happy Luck (TCG)
Happy Luck is the name of the deck used by Mychael Bryan, the Senior Division Finalist in the 2010 World Championships. It is one of the four 2010 World Championships Decks, released in November 2010. Each deck comes packaged with a 2010 World Championships Booklet. Each card features a silver border, Bryan's signature, and limited edition 2010 World Championships back. None of the cards are tournament legal.
Mychael Bryan's Happy Luck deck is built around Gyarados's no-cost Tail Revenge attack, which does damage based on the number of Magikarp in the discard pile. Felicity's Drawing sets up those Magikarp and adds cards to your hand. Crobat provides extra damage, Luxray LV.X switches your opponent's Pokémon, and Poké Turn lets you bring back some of your Pokémon! Happy luck? More like amazing skill!
Happy Luck focuses on quickly hitting hard for no energy. Gyarados's Tail Revenge attack does 30 damage times the amount of Magikarp in the discard pile. Felicity's Drawing allows you to draw up to 4 cards while discarding Magikarp, which sets up the Tail Revenge attack. Sableye allows you to go first as well as discard Magikarp, and Luxray LV.X's Bright Look Poké-Power forces the opponent to switch his or her Active Pokémon with one of their Benched Pokémon of your choice. Poké Turn makes it possible to put up to 6 damage counters (without attacking) on your opponents Pokémon with two Crobat and take off Luxray LV. X to use Bright Look again. If everything goes well, set up can take a minimum of 2 turns.
