Blurb

Liko, Roy, Dot, and Ult find themselves in battle with a pair of Explorers members using Strong Spheres to power up their Paldean Tauros. But the young Trainers discover a weakness of the Laquium-affected Pokémon, and they use that knowledge to win the battle. Inspired by their teamwork and determination, Orla decides that she wants to rejoin the Rising Volt Tacklers and fly on board the Brave Olivine again. She’s joined by Murdock, Mollie, and Ludlow, who all arrive to help get the ship up and running. When Dot boots up the Rising Volt Tacklers app, a message appears—who is it from?

Plot

Picking up from where the last episode left off, the two Explorers, Indi and Rubina, begin the battle by having their respective Paldean Tauros attack. The children's Pokémon dodge, but the two Tauros manage to land supereffective Raging Bull attacks on Liko's Meowscarada and Roy's Crocalor. Dot notices how their opponents did not call out any moves, much like the battle with Stunner Fisk. Dot's Quaxwell and Ult's Sableye try to attack, but are immediately pushed back thanks to the Laquium in the Strong Spheres enhancing the capabilities of the two Tauros. Meowscarada uses Magical Leaf on the Aqua Breed Tauros. However, it is intercepted by the Blaze Breed Tauros. Crocalor rushes in to help with Flame Charge, only for the Aqua Breed Tauros to counterattack without a command from its Trainer. Crocalor manages to stop himself before the attack could hit as Quaxwell and Sableye save Meowscarada using Aqua Cutter and Power Gem, respectively, to cancel the attack before all four Pokémon retreat to their Trainers' side.

Without a blind spot to exploit, the four Pokémon are forced to dodge another set of Raging Bull attacks. As Dot tries to come up with a plan, Ult has Sableye use Confuse Ray that succeeds in confusing Indi's Tauros, causing it to attack Rubina's Tauros that couldn't dodge despite Rubina calling for it to do so. That moment allowed Dot to realize how the Pokémon had been battling while under the influence of Laquium. She explains how Laquium increases a Pokémon's fighting instincts, but at the cost of no longer being able to respond to orders from their Trainers. With this in mind, when the two Tauros charge in with Raging Bull, Meowscarada and Crocalor dodge in the opposite directions from earlier at the last second. This results in both Tauros hitting each other and becoming disoriented. The four Pokémon seize the opportunity and successfully defeat the two Wild Bull Pokémon.

As the Explorers were shocked at their defeat, Liko and Roy rebuke them by saying their Strong Spheres could never overcome the bond between a Pokémon and their Trainer, forcing the Explorers and Exceed employees to leave Karna's Poké Ball factory without the Strong Sphere shells. Inside her factory, Karna promises to dispose the shells she made, but points out it wouldn't make much of a difference if her factory wasn't the only one commissioned to make the shells. Liko and the others are determined to stop Strong Spheres from being released to the public. Orla asks to help them as watching their battle earlier made her remember Friede would never let this run on, and becomes inspired to adventure as a member of the Rising Volt Tacklers once more, making the kids happy to have her join them. Orla asks for three days to ensure the Brave Olivine is in perfect condition while her Pokémon and the kids offer their own help.

Three days later, the airship is ready to take off for the skies again. The kids are eager to board, but Orla stops them, revealing she has more good news while turning behind her. Mollie, Murdock, and their Pokémon step out from the bushes, explaining how Orla had told them about the Brave Olivine being restored and got the approval from their respective workplaces to rejoin the group. Ludlow wasn't informed because he didn't have a Rotom Phone, but to everyone's shock, he is already sitting on his usual place on the Brave Olivine after "hearing from the waves" about the Brave Olivine's upcoming departure. Orla asks on the behalf of the adults present to join the Rising Volt Tacklers reformed by the kids, which they belatedly agree to. Ult also declares he's going to join their team, wanting to take up the position as captain. While he was disappointed to find out Captain Pikachu has already been designated captain, everyone else doesn't mind letting Ult join the team.

The newly reformed Rising Volt Tacklers settle into their old positions on the airship, including Dot who is booting up the team app's server. When it finishes booting up, Dot notices an encrypted voice message was received from an unknown address a month ago. She successfully decrypts the message and plays it, sending the original Rising Volt Tacklers into disbelief when Friede's voice is heard in the message. Once they calm down, Dot plays the message again, where Friede reveals both he and his Charizard are doing well after being blown off the ship during the events at Laqua. He apologizes for not being able to send a message sooner due to the Explorers watching him and asks they look after themselves until he returns while he does his own investigation into the Laquium. Everyone decides to not only celebrate their reunion, but also Friede's survival. Karna sees Orla off while they thank each other for the past year. Orla gives Karna a Poké Ball she made. While not as good at the one she usually makes, Karna compliments it as a unique Poké Ball that only Orla could make and promises to cherish it much like Orla did with the Poké Ball she received from Karna. When the Brave Olivine finally sets sail for the first time in a year, Roy suggests doing something, which Liko and Dot agree to as Ult becomes bewildered. On the wing deck, Liko leads the Rising Volt Tacklers as they do their signature handshake.

Meanwhile, at Exceed, Indi and Rubina report their failure to Spinel, who excuses them since failure is expected from time to time. Instead, he asks the two keep up with their missions for the Explorers before they leave. Hearing about the Rising Volt Tacklers being active again, Spinel plots to get rid of them again.
