(Japanese: 獅子フンジ Funji Shishi) is a recurring character in Pokémon Battrio: Aim to be Battrio Master!.
Character
When Funji debuted, she was considered to be a rival towards Ryū as she was the first opponent to have defeated Ryū.
History
Funji first appeared in ABM04 where she interrupted Ryū and his friends when they were celebrating Ryū getting a Shaymin puck. Seeing Ryū's progress, she decided to challenge Ryū to a Battrio game. During the match, both sides were neck to neck but in the end, Funji defeated Ryū, giving Ryū his first loss in the series. After Funji won, she was about to walk away until Ryū got into a fight with her.
Funji reappeared in ABM09 where she greeted Ryū after slapping him on the head while he was having a lunch break. Funji offered Ryū a rematch which made him fired up. During the rematch, Funji overwhelmed Ryū's team similar to last time. In the middle of the match, Funji sent out her Tyranitar temporarily which surprised the people watching their match due to its power. Later, Ryū managed to defeat her with Rayquaza's Dragon Pulse. After losing, Dr. Yoshimura pointed out some of the flaws that happened in the match.
In ABM11, she stayed with Ryū and Masato while they were in a Battrio tournament hosted by Tommy Takara.
