Release information

This card was included in the BREAKpoint expansion, first released in the Japanese Rage of the Broken Heavens expansion. It was later released as an unnumbered Mirror Holofoil XY-P Promotional card in Japan as a Kamex Mega Battle prize. Players participating in either of the two main Kamex Mega Battle or Victory Battle events at each venue were awarded this card upon recording 2 straight wins at the 'Second Stage'. Players could advance to the 'Second Stage' by recording 1 win at the 'First Stage' or by earning a bye from placing in the top 3 at the preceding Kamex Gym Battle or Kamex Pokémon Center Battle events held across Japan during March and April 2016. The Kamex Mega Battle was held at five locations across Japan: at the Nagoya Trade & Industry Center, Nagoya on May 5, 2016; at Intex Osaka, Osaka on May 15, 2016; at Makuhari Messe, Chiba on May 21 and 22, 2016; and at the West Japan General Exhibition Center, Kitakyushu on May 29, 2016. This print features the Kamex Mega Battle logo in the bottom left corner of the artwork.

During the Sun & Moon Era, this card was reprinted in the Japanese Premium Trainer Box. Despite the Sun & Moon Era introducing a new Trainer card layout, this card uses its original layout. This layout was retained for the reprints in the Japanese The Best of XY subset, Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Premium Trainer Box, Ultra Moon Deck Build Box, and the Extra Regulation Box.

Trivia

Origin

The card art depicts a keshō-mawashi, an embroidered apron worn by sekitori (top-division sumo wrestlers) during the ring entrance ceremony, as well as the tsuna, a purifying rope worn by yokozuna (the highest rank of sumo wrestler) during their ring entrance ceremony.
