A wild Munna used in Fennel's research is encountered at the Dreamyard. After obtaining the Trio Badge, Fennel asks the player to bring her some Dream Mist. However, Team Plasma also wish to obtain Dream Mist, and are abusing the Munna in order to achieve that end. After they have been defeated by the player and scared away by a wild Musharna, Fennel obtains the Dream Mist and Munna is saved. Bianca then tells the player that she will go look for the Pokémon they just saw, making it a possibility that this Munna is the one later appearing under the ownership of Bianca.
Fennel is the owner of a Munna in the Pokémon Dream World. This Munna, nicknamed ドリームDream in the Japanese version of the site, is seen when the player uses the demo version of the Dream World. Having no Pokémon of their own to send to the Dream World, they are instead accompanied by Dream. She has a Docile nature, was caught in a Premier Ball, and is at level 10.
This Munna was distributed via serial code through the Pokémon Global Link to commemorate the closure of the service.
Later, Ash, his friends, Fennel, Munna, and Officer Jenny rushed to the Dreamyard, where they found out that Team Rocket had caused all of the problems. Munna summoned Musharna, though it was captured by Team Rocket. However, Munna used her Psychic to cripple the machine, giving Pikachu a chance to destroy it with Volt Tackle and free Musharna.
