The Evolution V Starter Deck is a 60-card deck that accompanied the Eevee Heroes subset in three localizations. It was first released in Taiwan and Hong Kong on June 11, 2021, followed by a release in Thailand on June 25, 2021, and finally in Indonesia on October 1, 2021. The bulk of the deck includes cards sourced from the Eevee Heroes subset as well as the dual Silver Lance and Jet-Black Spirit expansion. The cards can be differentiated from these releases by their collection number and set symbol—those from the deck also lack rarity symbols and Holofoil patterns.
The deck itself can be broken down into three main groups: the first contains 28 cards, which includes at least one Pokémon V, several other Pokémon, Energy, and a selection of Trainer cards. The second group contains 16 cards consisting of a different selection of Pokémon and Energy cards. These two groups are mostly type-specific. The first group has 16 varieties, while the second has 7. The cards within each variety are always the same, though which ones are ultimately packaged is random. The third group contains 16 cards: 11 of these are fixed, while the remaining five are randomly included from four pools of Item and Supporter cards. Each deck is also packaged with damage counters, status markers, and a rulesheet.
There was no card printed with the collection number 131/172 in all of the deck's regional releases. This was noted on the product pages of the official Hong Kong website[1], the Taiwan website[2], and the Thai website[3], but not the Indonesian one. Several sites speculated this was intended to be Rare Candy, but no official statement was made regarding its identity.
