(Japanese: ポケットモンスターベストウイッシュシーズン2 エピソードN Pocket Monsters Best Wishes! Season 2: Episode N) is the third arc of Pokémon the Series: Black & White that aired on TV Tokyo from January 17, 2013 to April 18, 2013. It follows Best Wishes! Season 2 and precedes Season 2: Decolora Adventure!.

This arc centers on the mysterious N and his connection to Team Plasma. Ash, Iris, and Cilan return to western Unova, where they encounter N, a young man able to hear the hearts of Pokémon. He joins their journey as they investigate Team Plasma’s plans to control Pokémon, culminating in a confrontation at the White Ruins involving Reshiram.

The opening theme is Be an Arrow! 2013, a remixed version of Be an Arrow!, performed by Rica Matsumoto and the ending theme is Sakura Go-Round performed by Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku.

Plot

Ash and his friends return to Nuvema Town to meet Professor Juniper, who informs them about a new Gym in Aspertia City. The Team Rocket trio also returns to Unova to continue their pursuit of Pikachu. The group then begins traveling toward the White Ruins, where the legendary Reshiram is said to dwell.

Along the way, Ash and his friends meet N, a mysterious young man who can sense Pokémon’s emotions. N joins them, concealing his past ties to Team Plasma. In Aspertia City, Ash meets Cheren, the city’s new Gym Leader, and loses to him in an unofficial match. Soon after, they meet Looker and encounter Team Plasma and their scientist Colress.

As their journey progresses, Charizard rejoins Ash’s team and battles Iris's Dragonite. N’s history with Team Plasma is gradually revealed through encounters with his foster sisters, Anthea and Concordia, who help him confront his past. N eventually leaves to stop Team Plasma on his own.

At the White Ruins, Cedric Juniper discovers the Light Stone, which N seizes to prevent it from falling into Team Plasma’s hands. Ghetsis and Colress launch an attack to awaken Reshiram using Colress’s control machine. N surrenders the Light Stone to save Pikachu, allowing Ghetsis to control Reshiram. With help from Anthea, Concordia, and even Team Rocket, Ash and his friends destroy the control machine, freeing Reshiram and the other Pokémon. Looker then arrests Ghetsis, Colress, and the remaining Team Plasma members. N departs with Anthea and Concordia, finally at peace.
