Rulings

This card has the same attack, Ability name, HP, Weakness, Resistance, and Retreat Cost as the Black & White Series Eelektrik card first released in the Noble Victories expansion. However, due to the slightly different wording of the Ability between the Noble Victories print and the Black Bolt print ("you may attach a Lightning Energy" vs. "you may attach a Basic Lightning Energy"), it has been ruled that the Noble Victories print cannot be used as a substitute for the Black Bolt print in Standard format play.[1] This ruling has been previously announced on the official Japanese Pokémon Card Game website on June 6, 2025.[2]

Trivia

Origin

Dynamotor is an Ability that first appeared as a Poké-Power named Super Dynamo on Electrode from Aquapolis. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Black.
