Durin Berries cannot be used directly and only have a use as an ingredient, such as for Pokéblocks and Poffins.

Generation III

In Pokémon Emerald, the player can exchange a Durin Berry for a HP Up if the Favor Lady asks for 'something pointy' in the Lilycove City Pokémon Center. A Durin Berry can also be exchanged for an Iron if the Favor Lady asks for 'something wham-ish'.

Generation IV

In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, the player can exchange Durin Berries for accessories at the Pick a Peck of Colors Flower Shop.

In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the player can exchange:

  • 250 Durin Berries for a Mirror Ball

In Pokémon Platinum, the player can exchange:

The Durin Berry is available in Pokémon Sleep as one of the Berries that can be gathered by helper Pokémon and fed to Snorlax.

Effect

Durin Berries raise Snorlax's Strength, doubling the effect if the Berry is Snorlax's favorite. The base amount of Strength raised by the Berry is determined by the level of the helper Pokémon that gathered it.

Acquisition

Durin Berries can be gathered by Grass-type helper Pokémon in the player's team. Like all Berries in the game, gathered Durin Berries do not go into the player's inventory and instead are immediately eaten by Snorlax.

A Durin Berry appeared in Chancing Upon Chingling, being one of the Berries that Diamond and Lax used to slip a Team Galactic Grunt at the Team Galactic HQ so that Diamond could take his clothes and disguise himself as a Grunt.

Platinum arc

In The Final Dimensional Duel VII, Jupiter used a Durin Berry to turn her Tangrowth's Natural Gift into a Water-type move while battling against Marley's Arcanine.
