In the core series games
DYN4MO is one of the major organizations within Lumiose City. It is the official fan club for Canari, and was originally created as a bodyguard group for her by people from Racine Construction. A related term is "Canatic", referring to fans of Canari in general, even those outside of the DYN4MO group such as Naveen and Gwynn.
DYN4MO is first mentioned by Urbain/Taunie when Naveen discusses that the player may have to face Canari in their pursuit to reach Rank A of the Z-A Royale. Despite being a huge Canatic, Naveen himself is not part of DYN4MO, believing that he'd be perceived as though he's hopping on a trend if he joined now. With Naveen's help, the player infiltrates a quiz contest dedicated for Canatics known as "Canari's Quiz Whiz Contest", and encounters various members of the DYN4MO group, including Mani, one of Canari's oldest fans. The player later battles both Tarragon and Canari, the latter serving as their promotion match opponent to Rank E.
During the crisis with Prism Tower, the player is helped out by members of DYN4MO including Mani, who is not part of Tarragon's Racine Construction crew but is otherwise asked to help out anyway because he just happens to be there. Canari helps the player fend off Rogue Mega Evolution Pokémon while the other members of DYN4MO build a giant scaffolding course for the player to travel through in order to reach Zygarde.
