In the TCG

In the Pokémon Trading Card Game, several cards feature Pokémon wearing clothing. Among them are cards representing forms from the game that already wear clothes, such as the Ash's Pikachu cards being renditions of "Pikachu in a cap" and the Pikachu Libre card being a Pikachu Libre. Other cards feature original clothing designs, or ones based upon the attire of other characters. Often, these alternate cards have different names compared to renditions of Pokémon without clothing. Since evolution is based entirely around matching names, such cards cannot evolve through normal means.
