Release information

This Tretta was awarded as a prize to participants of The Pokémon Tretta Series 02 Energy Cup ~Chesnaught and Dragonite in Your Hands!~, held from August 23 to September 9, 2014 at participating stores. Entrants were tasked to capture Pokémon with the highest combined Energy total as possible in one playthrough. Those achieving the top three combined totals at each event were awarded a certificate. All participants were awarded either this Tretta or a Dragonite Tretta at random. For the first time, a special mode called Energy Contest Simulator (Japanese: おためし! ポケエネカップ Trial! PokéEne Cup) was made available on Tretta machines starting August 15, 2014 allowing players to practice for the upcoming cup event.

Chesnaught and Dragonite were available again as part of the Pokémon Mega Bangle Sale Commemoration Aeon Pokémon Tretta Campaign, which took place at participating Aeon stores across Japan from January 1, 2015 for as long as stocks lasted. Customers who purchased eligible goods were randomly given either this Tretta or the Dragonite Tretta. Eligible goods included the original Pokémon Mega Ring, the Pokémon Mega Bangle, the Pokémon Mega Bangle Special Set, as well as the Tretta Strengthening Sets, Power 10 and Speed 10. Customers could also present a Chesnaught or Dragonite Tretta at participating Molly Fantasy stores during this period and receive a Tretta sticker set.
