Release information
In Japan, this card was released as one of the S-P Promotional cards and was awarded to players who had accumulated at least 30 Championship Points over the course of the 2020-2021 season, up to and including August 31, 2021.[1] As with the previous season, this reduced requirement was due to the continued effects of the COVID-19 pandemic; Championship Points were only awarded at City Leagues and Trainer's Leagues that were able to go ahead.[2] This print has the Championship Series 2021 logo in the bottom right corner of the illustration and distribution to entitled players began in late September 2021. Another S-P Promotional print with a different collection number and artwork was awarded to players accumulating at least 30 Championship Points over the course of the 2021-2022 season, up to August 21, 2022 inclusive.[3] Eligible events were once again limited to City Leagues and Trainer's Leagues.[4] This print has the Championship Series 2022 logo in the bottom right corner of the illustration and distribution to eligible players began in late September 2022. Both prints feature artwork by Kagemaru Himeno.
The 2022 print was also available in other Asian markets to celebrate the first anniversary of the launch of the official Pokémon Card Game Trainers Website. In Taiwan and Hong Kong, it was released in Traditional Chinese as a S-P Promotional card. To receive a copy, people were required to register as a member through their local Trainers Website and sign up for at least one Pokémon Card Gym event between December 1 and 31, 2022. Those doing so could pick up their copy at participating venues hosting Town Leagues or regional-level official tournaments in January 2023 upon presenting their Trainer ID and identity documents to attendants.[5][6] It was also released as a S-P Promotional card in Indonesia and people were similarly required to register as a member through the Trainers Website. Those who provided their name, Trainer ID, and KTP number while participating in either the Pokémon Game Card Collection Workshop at the Jakarta Pokémon Festival or any Pokémon Card Gym event held in December 2022 that was listed on the Pokémon Card Game Trainers Website were eligible for a copy of this card. The Jakarta Pokémon Festival was held at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 and PIK Golf Island, North Jakarta between December 8, 2022 and January 8, 2023 and copies of the card could be redeemed from the information desk at PIK Avenue. Copies of the card for those taking part in Pokémon Card Gym events began to be distributed at host stores in January 2023.[7] The Traditional Chinese and Indonesian prints lack the Championship Series 2022 logo.
