Why not use numbered lists and remove the number from the heading? - Jshadias 05:36, 5 Apr 2005 (UTC)

If the number is in the heading, you can see the counts at a glance from the TOC. - 振霖T 16:06, 5 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Oh, I see. I still think it'd be a good idea to use numbered lists though, to make errors in the heading's count stand out. - Jshadias 16:23, 5 Apr 2005 (UTC)
The problem would then become how to deal with votes stricken out (like this) - they would still take up a number. I suppose they could be taken out of order, since the important thing is that the change is noted. - 振霖T 20:17, 5 Apr 2005 (UTC)

This didn't really pan out, huh? It always sort of makes me sad when I look at this page. --Pie 06:37, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm going to try and bring it back, 'cause I can. :x --Pie ~ 18:54, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Well, it'd be a good idea to. Hopefully it gets support from everyone... --TTEchidna 21:55, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

... it'd, uh, help a lot if people actually voted on these... --Pie ~ 06:05, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

>cough< --Pie ~ 17:55, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
I've added a notice to the Ongoing tasks about it... That might bring in more attention to it. --TTEchidna 18:04, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

How many votes does it take to become a featured article? ShinyTalk | Contribs 20:41, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Are we going to have another featured article one day? Glinn 11:28, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Yea, it's just been a little slow lately...--Theryguy512 11:46, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Someday. Maybe. We need to just get our act together. TTEchidnaGSDS! 22:46, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

I hope I make a featured article someday... *batters eyelashes dreamily* PL1219:24, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

...Dissapointing, this is. Still no more featured articles. Surely you've had enough time to "get your act together." Glinn Mgraw 05:57, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Is it really that hard? Glinn Mgraw 14:52, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

COUGH HACK ANYONE THERE?! Glinn Mgraw 10:10, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Pathetic. I don't like talking to myself. Surely there is an article out there that can be featured? Surely? Glinn Mgraw 10:08, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Ash. PL12 10:41, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh yes, I second that! I really think the Ash article should be featured! It's very detailed and well-written. It's also very interesting as well. ^_^ --PokemonTrainerLisa 10:24, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Can't this be a Featured Article Nominee? Misty-May-Dawn rulz 09:40, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

How do you edit/vote in Featured Articles? Thanks - EmeraldRayquaza

Should be nominated, no? I didn't do it myself (yet) only because I am pressed for time. Theininen 22:51, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

I don't think any article should be featured. Nothing happens. It's not like it ever gets promoted to the front page or anything. Porygon-Z 22:52, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Ignoring the person that thinks that the whole thing is pointless, anyone else? Should I nominate it myself, or is that a dumb idea? Theininen 18:43, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

How many votes

How much votes are needed before an article is accepted (or rejected)? MathijsP 16:02, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Answer please. MathijsP 14:55, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
*shrugs* TTEchidna 07:17, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
How much.
How much.
Really? You really want to know?
OK. You need three kilograms of votes before it's enough.
You figure that out. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 07:45, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
3000 votes??? what is it really, does there have to be a certain margin in between support and oppose, like there has to be a differnce of 10 or 20 before it is rejected or accepted. What is it? --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010 09:52, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
How many votes are required? I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 19:10, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
See section below. Theininen 20:29, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
I know I'm eleven days late, but thank you, MM. --((Marton imos)) 06:34, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Right, OK

I highly suggest that, going at the current rate of featured articles we have that we would not need the featured article nomination page. Or is just there for looks? Glinn Mgraw 06:50, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

A comment just made by TTE on another page about how he wishes people would be more enthusiastic about featuring articles reminded me of this. Are we ever going to make one of these article featured? There are so many nominees, and so many votes. I even recently made a new nomination myself. Is anything ever going to happen? --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 20:36, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Nothing probably will, and some articles I don't even think deserve to be nominated...but that last part was just my opinion.--PsychicRider 21:16, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Ultimately this is just a way for users to point out pages to the people in charge; the people in charge are the ones who actually decide whether or not to accept or reject a nomination. The actual vote counts don't really matter. At the moment no-one is in charge... - 振霖T 02:54, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Okay then, I'll just point out a decent article to the person who isn't there... Glinn Mgraw 13:38, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
This is stupid, if TTE wants us to be more enthusiastic why not set some guidelines of how many votes needed to be featured or rejected, maybe like it has to be a difference of 10. YOU CANT EXPECT PEOPLE TO BE ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT VOTING WHEN

a) nothing is ever done about it, i think over the whole course of BP weve had 3 articles b} their votes acutally dont count as "the people in charge" can just go against the vote and say no. Why vote on something that can just be overturned.

Its like holding a referendum but saying, "this is very serious you should all be enthusiastic about voting, but your votes dont actually count for shit in the end" --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010 09:58, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

I think the idea is to tell them what a good idea for a feat. art. is, then let whoever's in charge (does anyone know who is, anyway?) decide, not to actually pick one on our own. I agree that there should be a set number of votes to get one (always the issue of sockpuppeting to feature a junk article, could be dealt with), but as it is, this is what we've got. LIVE WITH IT. Theininen 17:09, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Could someone relink the vote pages to the main page? I'd do it myself, but I don't know how without messing up the main itself. Theininen 23:21, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Eh? What? --((Marton imos)) 06:38, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Like, make it so the votes link back to the FAC main, instead of having to re-search it or something? Theininen 14:17, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Waaay too many of these. We're gonna have to start, like, a weekly featured article or something. --ニョロトノ666 01:59, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Does a FAC have to be a article in the mainspace?

MathijsP 07:06, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

It's following the same style as Manual of style it's two shortcuts are "MOS" and "BP:MOS" If for any reason the FAC article is needed in the mainspace, it can then be edited for different use. - Kogoro | Talk to me | 07:11, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Can we nominate any article we think is good enough? If so Id like to nominate Article: $1 - unsigned comment from Guardian (talkcontribs)

Truely, $1 is our finest article. The level of prose found within is unmatched anywhere in the wiki.
But seriously, you can nominate anything if you think it's good enough. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 19:14, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

When do some of these get passed? Many have been up for months with no new votes. Articles that are closely split, like Staryu, or heavily biased, like Ash, I can understand, but many of the others have overwhelming support. Aura-Knight 03:12, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Why . . .

. . . does it say under the Rejected: "19:48, 29 October 2008 (UTC): Mew (FAC discussion)"? Mew is currently a featured article. . So shouldn't that be moved to Accepted? シンジShinjiLover,Edits 06:28, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Because someone accidentally nominated Mew, not Mew (Pokémon). When the mistake was taken down, it was put under rejected. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 06:30, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Mew is the redirect and Mew (Pokémon) is the Pokémon article.--Clarky13 06:41, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Oh, sorry, I guess I should've looked at the link. ^^" *embarrassed* シンジShinjiLover,Edits 06:43, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Haha, Its OK. I got confused for a second or two when I looked at it.--Clarky13 06:47, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
It's not actually a redirect, its a disambiguation. Ҝəυzø8 06:48, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
That's what I meant.--Clarky13 06:54, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Ummm... guys it has both Mew and Mew (Pokémon) under rejected.--Smartkidhen 23:04, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
We know. They were both rejected. —darklordtrom 23:08, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

New requirements

Because of the new requirements, are any FAC that are currently nominated but have any of this templates disqualified? Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 13:45, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Also, if a template that disqualifies an article as a FAC is added while it is nominated, will it be disqualified? Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 23:35, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
If the template was justified, then yes. --electAbuzzzz 09:10, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

Commenting and adding another candidates

How do I make a comment on the candidates? And I think Pokémon anime should be nominated but I do not know how. --Ruixiang95 13:29, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

The steps to nominate a page are listed here under "procedure". You're free to nominate any article you want, but I wouldn't nominate Pokémon anime. It's a bit... listy. To place your vote - there are edit buttons next to the titles "support", "object", and "other comments". Don't forget to change the numbers on the headers. --electAbuzzzz 13:45, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

1 thing im wondering

1. IM confused what the numbers 1 and 2 (fac) do. Im afraid ill screw up. What do i do?~Bobo 11:46, 5 June 2011 (UTC) Ok,,,, im gonna make it understanderable now... WHAT IS ALL THAt FAC STuuf and what do i do with it and wich one is which and..... ugh.... all i want to do is vote 4 Sabrina. ~Bobo 22:43, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

If I'm correct by numberrs you mean the nominations procedure, and they contain the standards that the page must meet and steps towards making a nomination. Sabrina is currently not a candidate to be voted for, so you can't vote for her. Since there are no candidates, you can't vote at the moment and the five 'current' ones have been sent to the Editorial Board for review. --Spriteit 06:44, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
I have updated this page with a short list of some qualities of what makes a featured article. It may be added to by other EB members over the next few days, but those are the criteria I use when looking at whether an article should be featured. Hopefully that makes things clearer. —darklordtrom 07:59, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Ash and Pikachu.

I just have one question. How come Red is a featured article, but not Ash or his Pikachu? Anyone else wondering this? --Tmeyer16 (talk) 21:58, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

Is it possible to de-feature an article?

I want to know if there is any kind of nomination made in order to take an specific page out of its featured article status. I'm asking because I do not think that Aim to Be a Pokémon Master can be considered one at this point. There is still information that could be added and it has an Incomplete template, which already disquelifies candidates. Also, even if the section needed was complete, the page wouldn't be that all different from almost every other opening song page. --Gabo 2oo (talk) 04:52, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

No articles are being chosen to be a featured article or not

This page hasn't been changed since August 17 2013. So Bulbapedia must have the same featured articles since then. I just think that the featured articles should be chosen weather or not to be featured articles. ----Ethan (Discussion) 04:37, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

What Happened To Featuring

Are featured articles even a thing anymore? The old ones remain but there are a few pending and nothing has been featured IN TEN YEARS. No one's even been on the discussion page since 2013! Also, the currently featured articles have changed quite a bit since they were featured. They're still certainly worthy of being called featured. but it wouldn't hurt to double-check once in a while. (Is there still anyone to do that? Is featuring still possible, or is it a thing of the past? BlazeFire (talk) 15:53, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
