Boost Energy (Japanese: ブーストエネルギー Boost Energy) is a Special Energy card. It was first released as part of the Aquapolis expansion.
Card text
Boost Energy can be attached only to an Evolved Pokémon. Discard Boost Energy at the end of the turn it was attached. Boost Energy provides Energy. The Pokémon Boost Energy is attached to can't retreat.
When the Pokémon Boost Energy is attached to is no longer an Evolved Pokémon, discard Boost Energy.e-Reader data
This card has two e-Card Series prints. The card ID of the Aquapolis print is D-54-#. The card ID of the P Promotional print is D-54. The Aquapolis print includes a short Dot Code strip for use with the e-Reader, which contains a brief card summary. There is no long strip for this print.
Release information
This card was included in the Aquapolis expansion with artwork by Shin-ichi Yoshikawa, first released in the Japanese Wind from the Sea expansion. In Japan, it was reprinted as one of the P Promotional cards with new artwork by Kai Ishikawa as a gift card awarded during the 2002 Summer Battle Roads. A full-frame view of the Wind from the Sea print was also one of the PLAY Promotional cards available in Player's Club Continuation Kits given to people who subscribed to the Player's Club for a second straight season in 2004.
The Aquapolis print was reprinted in the EX Deoxys expansion, first released in the Japanese Clash of the Blue Sky expansion, with a full-frame view of the artwork by Shin-ichi Yoshikawa. It was later reprinted in the EX Unseen Forces expansion, first released in the Japanese Feraligatr Constructed Starter Deck; in the EX Dragon Frontiers expansion, first released in the Japanese Shockwave! Tyranitar ex Constructed Standard Deck; and again in POP Series 5.
