Route 3 is a rocky path that leads eastward along the cliffs from Route 2 and back around to Route 1 in the south. The entrance to Melemele Meadow is located halfway through the route. The path overlooks Kala'e Bay to the east.

Unfriendly Skies
The shadows of Flying-type Pokémon patrolling the skies are a common sight in the area. These Pokémon will ambush any Trainer who strays too close. Pokémon encountered this way may sometimes drop an item after battle, like a Sharp Beak or a Pretty Wing.
Lost...
Kukui is searching for Lillie about halfway through the route, standing near the north side of the wooden bridge. He inadvertently blocks you from moving any farther southward for the moment, so turn around and make a left at the nearest sign to investigate Melemele Meadow.
Melemele Meadow
Melemele Meadow is a secluded place where bright, yellow flowers grow in abundance. Wild Pokémon can be found among the blooms, while elevated earthen walkways facilitate travel through the area.

...and Found
Lillie can be found near the meadow entrance. It turns out that she had taken off in pursuit of Nebby after its latest escape attempt. The Pokémon ran off through the flowers, but can be seen near the west side of the area. Speak to Lillie again before running off to have your Pokémon healed.
Follow the dirt path southward to reach a Great Ball and enter the first flower patch. During nighttime hours, a sparkling spot can be found here; inspect it to find a bit of Yellow Nectar. Cross westward through the flowers and up the ramp, then pick up the Net Ball to the south. Follow the dirt path to the northeast and jump off the ledge near the male Sightseer to reach the second flower patch. Head west and climb up the hill, past Nebby. Cross through the flowers here to reach a Poison Barb, and a Photo Spot at the end of the path. Go back past Nebby and through the flower patch to the east, pass by the female Sightseer, and jump the ledge. Head southwest through the first flower patch and inspect the wall to find a hidden tunnel to Seaward Cave.
Seaward Cave
Seaward Cave connects Melemele Meadow and Kala'e Bay. The path slopes downward to water level where it opens to the bay. It is filled with the salty smell of the sea.

An Escape Rope can be found near the entrance. Follow the passage south to reach a larger chamber with a Heal Ball to the west. Go east then south, ignoring the series of ledges for now. Take the nearest turn eastward for a dead-end path with a Never-Melt Ice, then backtrack and head southwest for a Super Potion. Continue southward to find another dead-end path with a Star Piece hidden in a rock. Follow the path eastward to reach the exit to Kala'e Bay.
