Antiquity

Antiquity, also known as Atq, was a fan community whose objective was to be as effective as possible in the area of competitive battling as well as providing their visitors a warm atmosphere while they are browsing through countless analysis of individual Pokémon and guides regarding competitive battling.

Its history dates back to when Pokémon NetBattle was at its early stages with the name Antiquity representing the three ancient legendary Pokémon that once formed the earth, according to Pokémon history, with those being no other than Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza. It's not a coincidence that these three legends were the symbol of this community.

Activities and events

Antiquity possessed a team rating section and people dedicated in giving good team building tips when going against other players, or for the most in-game oriented ones, the Battle Frontier or Battle Tower. Going more in-depth on these projects, they were divided in each of the four generations, which are Pokémon Red and Blue and Pokémon Yellow (RBY); Pokémon Gold and Silver and Pokémon Crystal (GSC); Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire and Pokémon Emerald (RSE or ADV) and Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and Pokémon Platinum (DPPt). There was also a whole forum section dedicated to war stories (the user's Pokémon battles narrated from their point of view to make it more interesting).

There were usually more than three tournaments running regularly just for the members to prove their worth or simply have fun. Those events are divided to small custom ones that are usually made by users and to the official events hosted by the community itself. An example of an official event was the AGT (Antiquity Grand Tournament).
