Alolan Raichu (Japanese: アローラライチュウ Alolan Raichu) is a playable Pokémon in Pokémon UNITE. It became available as a playable character on April 17, 2025.

Alolan Raichu is an Attacker with a large focus on mobility, as it is able to move while using basic attacks and has the ability to dash after using any of its moves or a boosted attack. To complement its mobility, it can choose to either boost its basic attack speed or set up with long ranged lingering projectiles.

Description Paralyzes all opponents near the Pokémon for a short when the Pokémon receives damage. This Ability goes on cooldown after it's triggered.

Description The Pokémon can use basic attacks while moving. When the Pokémon uses a move or a boosted basic attack, it dashes in the designated direction.

Buff	Description
For a short time, increases the user's basic attack speed. The user's next 6 basic attacks also launch a star-shaped electric blast that deals additional damage. Upgrade: The electric blasts decrease opposing Pokémon's Sp. Def. This effect can stack up to 3 times.

Ranged	Description
Has the user hurl an electric orb to the designated location, where it remains for a short time. When an electric orb and an opposing Pokémon touch, the orb releases its electricity and deals damage to nearby opposing Pokémon. A maximum of 2 uses can be kept in reserve for this move. Upgrade: Deals damage over time to opposing Pokémon hit by this move.

Upgrade: Leaves opposing Pokémon unable to move instead of paralyzed.

Area	Description
Has the user release a strong telekinetic force in the designated area, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokémon it hits. If this moves hits an electric orb created by Electro Ball, the orb is pulled to the center of this move's area of effect. Upgrade: Deals damage over time in the designated area for a short time.

Has the user create a star-shaped zone of electricity in the designated area, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokémon it hits. If the user hits opposing Pokémon in the zone with a basic attack, the user's next basic attack becomes a boosted attack.

Trivia

Alolan Raichu is the first Pokémon to be added to the game whose pre-evolved form was already playable on its own.
Thunderstorm Aerial may be based on Alolan Raichu's Pokédex entry in Pokémon Shield, which states that it attacks with star-shaped thunderbolts.
When the game language is set to Hindi, Alolan Raichu is erroneously called गलार राइचू (Galar Raichu).^[1]
