Plot
The episode begins with the narrator explaining the anniversary and the ranking. He talks about the anime’s movie history, while images from M01 to M14 as well as from the recently released M15 and PK24 are shown. He explains that today we will look back on the movies by ranking their most noteworthy scenes. When he is about to begin, however, Team Rocket highjacks the program and explains that they will be the ones doing the ranking instead, based on their personal preferences. They are standing in a brightly decorated studio, with a poster with a pink R behind them and tall flowers at the sides.
The first ranking is about which main movie Pokémon the Team Rocket Trio would like to catch the most. The ranking, which is accompanied by movie clips, is as follows:
- 5: Arceus from M12, due to its great power.
- 4: Darkrai from M10, because of how moving it was when it protected the town.
- 3: Jirachi from M06, because it can grant wishes and therefore summon food.
- 2: Celebi from M04, because James wants to use its time travel ability to see different eras.
- 1: Mew from M08, due to its rarity and its ability to transform.
James ends the ranking by saying they are in fact not up to the challenge of catching them, to which Jessie takes offense. They then continue saying that, from the current M15 and PK24, Jessie and James would like to catch Kyurem while Meowth would like to catch the heart of Meloetta.
The next ranking is about their favorite movie scenes starring themselves. The ranking is as follows:
- 3: M01: Getting involved in the clone fight, and specifically Meowth and his clone choosing not to fight and instead talking about the moon.
- 2: M04: Jessie getting captured by the Iron-Masked Marauder, or, as she puts it, jumping in there on purpose and facing him on her own, and then saving Ash and Sam by stopping their fall.
- 1: M02: Helping Ash to assemble the three treasures with the help of their motor-driven inflatable raft and therefore helping to save the world.
Team Rocket then mentions that they will make short, hidden appearances in M15 as well, before continuing with the next ranking, which is about the movie scenes that made them laugh the most.
- 10: M05: Ash participates in the Tour de Alto Mare and crashes into the river due to the invisible Latios.
- 9: M09: Manaphy crashes into the submarine’s window.
- 8: M13: Zorua transforms into Ash.
- 7: M12: Piplup falls into a kitchen and gets a bowl stuck on his head.
- 6: M14: Victini chokes on the macaron it has stolen from Ash.
- 5: M11: Dawn’s Swinub keeps eating its meal while Shaymin causes a commotion.
- 4: M07: May's Munchlax tries to kick a plastic bottle into a trash can, fails on the first try, then manages it on the second.
- 3: M10: The friend group climbs the Space-Time Towers, Ash rushes in front of the others and therefore misses the balloon the others ride to the top.
- 2: M01: Team Rocket gives Ash and his friends a ride with their boat while dressed as Vikings, with Meowth dressed as the boat’s figurehead.
- 1: M09: Team Rocket’s bodies get switched because they touched Manaphy’s egg.
Back in the studio, Jessie, James and Meowth are fighting about who is most responsible for their failures. Then they explain that M15 and PK24 are funny as well, giving as examples a movie scene where Ash and his friends’ Pokémon are acting silly on a train and all of PK24 in general.
The final ranking is about which movie scenes made Team Rocket cry the most.
- 3: M03: Entei breaks the Unown’s barrier, saving Molly from the fantasy world and telling her to keep him in her dreams.
- 2: M06: Ash and his friends say goodbye to Jirachi. Jessie comments that even if you know a farewell is coming, it is still painful.
- 1: M08: With the help of a time flower, Lucario watches as Sir Aaron sacrifices himself and calls Lucario his friend.
Back in the studio, Team Rocket is crying. Next, they say that M15 will have many emotional scenes as well. Their first example is the scene where Keldeo manages to turn into his Resolute Form. Their second is the scene in the end where the Swords of Justice recite their oath together with Keldeo.
Team Rocket then advertises the song Look Look☆Here from PK24 and a live performance of the song from the Pikachu the Live 2012 concert is shown. Team Rocket ends the special by saying that they will be the stars of the next year’s movie.
