There are several features and two modes on the Vs. Recorder, which all use the Nintendo DS's touch screen to operate. In Black and White, it is given by an NPC upon entering the [[Battle Subway]] in [[Nimbasa City]], and in Black 2 and White 2, it is given by the opposite-gender character after beating [[Ingo]] and [[Emmet]] in a [[Multi Battle]].
