-The battlefield has tiles missing and electric currents underneath where only Electric types and flying or floating Pokémon can stand. There are buttons that if stepped on will electrify a 4×4 area on the opposite corner. Sometimes in a battle there will be a message saying, "''The Electric System has been activated!''" and that turn and sometimes in later turns there will be three lightning bolts that will hit one square each with Electric type damage.

Electric Switches can be stepped on in order to electrify an area of 4x4 tiles, dealing Electric-type damage to Pokémon hit by it. After the message "The Electric System has been activated!" appears, several tiles of the battlefield are hit with Electric-type damage.
