In a flashback from before Courtney and Matt began to lose control, Steven meets with [[Professor Bellis]] to discuss the meteor that fell in the ocean by Pasio. Steven shares his theory that when the meteor hit, the natural energy lying below the sea erupted, causing Groudon and Kyogre to act out. He brings up the lore of the [[Draconid people]], and Zinnia's belief that someone is using the energy for evil purposes. This reminds Professor Bellis of something she heard from a researcher about the possibility of a dangerously massive meteor colliding with the planet. Maxie also calls Steven, informing him that Team Magma is in possession of a suit that will allow the wearer to survive in space. Steven then tells Zinnia that she should be the one to wear the suit and fly into space by Mega Evolving her Rayquaza. She is resistant to the idea, as her Rayquaza is unable to Mega Evolve, but Steven encourages her. He frames the situation as a race to see if she will be able to fly into space before he can catch Deoxys. Inspired, Zinnia accepts. | |||
