Vespiquen (Japanese: ビークイン Beequeen) is a dual-type Bug/Flying Pokémon.

It evolves from female Combee starting at level 21.

Biology

Physiology

Vespiquen is a four-foot-tall bee Pokémon with a yellow and black striped abdomen that resembles a skirt. The underside of her expansive abdomen has sections like honeycomb cells, and can serve as a nest for baby Combee. It does appear, however, that she was a regular, slender insect abdomen in the centermost cell, which is inconspicious as the ‘skirt’ usually obstructs the view of it. She has black, skinny arms with two orange claws and flies with a pair of small (compared to her body) wings on her orange shoulders. She has a nearly spherical yellow-colored upper body and a slender bklack waist. Vespiquen also has an orange face with red eyes, oversized, yellow-colored protruding jaws, a red gem on her forehead and yellow and black "horns".

Gender differences

Vespiquen is a female-only species.

Special abilities

Vespiquen has three separate signature moves that involve summoning a swarm of baby Combee, which she stores in her honeycomb-like lower abdomen. One is for attacking, the second is for defending and the third is for recovering.

Behavior

Vespiquen are queens of hives of Combee, controlling it and protecting it, as well as giving birth to young Combee. A Vespiquen is far more powerful than her followers. However, if someone defends her hive and helps her, she may reward them.

Habitat

Vespiquen live in huge hives in the forests with their Combee followers.
