Vermillion Harbor is a harbor which can be found in Vermillion City. It has appeared in both the Pokémon games and Pokémon Special manga.
In the games
In the original Pokémon Red and Blue, the player will need the S.S Ticket from Bill to tour through S.S. Anne. In Pokémon Gold and Silver the harbor was modified but still has its own purpose, the player will need the S.S Ticket to tour S.S. Aqua.
In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, the harbor returned to its originl state, while having the same events in Red and Blue, the player will be given a Tri-Pass from Bill which gives the player access to three of the Sevii Islands.
The Seagallop Ferries will transport one to any of the islands, depending on whether they have the Tri-Pass or the Rainbow Pass.
Celio will give one a Rainbow Pass which grant acess to all of the Sevii Islands, except for Birth Island.
In the manga
In Pokémon Special, the Vermillion Harbor is the location of Ekans the Ecstasy until Breath of Dragonair Part 3. In these chapters, the S.S. Anne sinks to the bottom of the harbor. Also, Yellow is told the legend of the harbor by the Pokémon Fan Club Chairman: the four stones that lie at the bottom of the harbor and never lose their powers of starting a Pokémon's evolution.
