By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Den Zen 20:44, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

Noticed you aren't really using the preview button much it seems. Instead of editing a page in sections. If you see many edits are needed then go to the top of the page and right beside History click on the edit this page to do them all in one go instead and remember to use the Preview Button as well. Thank you. Frozen Fennec 01:08, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
Third reminder to use the preview button. You shouldn't have to make 5 edits in a row to a single page. Please make a habit of using the Preview button so you don't clog up the Recent Changes. Thank you. --Pokemaster97 21:05, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

Biker (Trainer Class)

For future reference, instead of requesting people "not to touch" in edit summaries and expect people not to, use the {{Inuse}} template. This will alert users that you are currently making a large edit to that page. It also allows a reasonable time frame of when you think the edit will be done so the page won't be hogged if other editors would like to edit it. --×Rsrdaman× 20:18, 20 March 2012 (UTC) via Pokemaster97

Cipher Peons

Hey just so you know, I have a subpage that probably has a lot more information (but it's not all on that page because all of the templates together break the page) that might help you out and make your endeavors a little easier. Thank you! --Charlietalk | edits』 20:24, 23 May 2015 (UTC)

Hey Charlie, thanks so much, do you mind putting them on the Peons page, or would that break it? If that is the case, maybe do it bits and pieces at a time. I have more moves for some of the Pokemon that I've seen/experienced, so I think the two of us can definitely finish that section. :)

Woodenfan (talk) 05:47, 24 May 2015 (UTC)Wood

Added in all the Cipher Peons in the Key Lair. I'll add more information on moves as I go along with them. Do you mind if you can just cap off the Peons in Citadark? You're missing the one with the Shadow Dugtrio, from what I can tell. Thanks so much. :) Woodenfan (talk) 16:12, 24 May 2015 (UTC)Wood
In the future, when you add parties to pages, can you make sure you use {{Party/Single}} instead of {{Party}}? {{Party}} is not to be used on mainspace pages due to it being server-intensive or something. --Abcboy (talk) 16:29, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
I'll make the change now, thanks very much. Do you need a footer as well? - unsigned comment from Woodenfan (talkcontribs)
Documentation for how it's used is on Template talk:Party/Single. Additionally, it seems some of the parties on the page are already converted, so just follow the ones already there. --Abcboy (talk) 16:51, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
Done and done, I'll add the information until we're back where we started. Thank you very much. :) - unsigned comment from Woodenfan (talkcontribs)
Hey sorry, but the old page still used the old party template and now with it updated everything fits without breaking. If you don't need my subpage, I can get rid of it, but if you need it for any kind of reference, just let me know. Thank you for helping with the XD parties, I appreciate it! --Charlietalk | edits』 01:32, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
Hey, Charlie, you can get rid of the subpage you have, I'm just editing the stuff you put up with the moves I've seen in my playthrough (currently in Cipher Key Lair), but could you add the trainer with the Shadow Dugtrio? That's honestly all the page really needs, I believe. - unsigned comment from Woodenfan (talkcontribs)
I checked the Peons page, all that's missing is Leden (person with Shadow Scyther and Chansey), Gromlet, Kleef (guy who accosts you right after the second battle with Snattle), and Kolax (Shadow Dugtrio guy). If you want to add them, don't hesitate to do so. If not, I'll add them when I get there. Thanks a lot, Charlie. :) Woodenfan (talk) 17:38, 25 May 2015 (UTC)Wood

Cipher Peons 2

I know you've been doing a fair amount of work on the XD Cipher Peons page, so I kind of just wanted to offer my condolences if you feel jilted or something that I've just tagged them for discussion/deletion. If I had really looked at the pages sooner, I would have realized the problems they have compared to our usual standards. So, sorry. FWIW, I was spending that time looking at pulling Trainer/Pokemon data directly from the ROMs. I'm not quite there still, but I've made fair progress.

At any rate, if the pages get changed to be about all Shadow Pokemon, at least your work won't have been entirely in vain. =P If you have anything to contribute to the discussion about what should be done with those pages, please leave a comment.=) Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:27, 29 May 2015 (UTC)

Do that, I'm sure there's stuff I'm missing. Saves me about 10+ hours of gameplay time, but yes, compiling the Shadow Pokémon data would be fine. Are you doing the same with Colosseum as well? And for the latter, would that include the Pokémon that replace them? Lastly, how does one pull the data from the ROMs? Never found an editing program for the GC games, sadly... - unsigned comment from Woodenfan (talkcontribs)
I've actually sort of gotten farther on Colosseum than XD right now, but that's just because it's the one I looked at first.
I followed a tutorial that was apparently written pretty recently. The process is a bit complicated, but that's mostly due to needing several steps and programs before you can even start "reading" anything (and there being lots of files), as opposed to necessarily requiring any special technical know-how (compared to reading the same data in Gen I-III, at least). Tiddlywinks (talk) 05:14, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
I checked out the talk page for Colosseum, posted my thoughts, and I'm glad that my questions were answered. :) Will the Admin summaries stay up, since they're, you know, admins? I know that Snattle and Greevil need a little more data in them, and Gorigan's missing one move.
Jeez, I spent too much on those pages, oh well. I really do get passionate about Colosseum/XD, because I do like those games a lot and I do wish Game Freak would acknowledge them one day. - unsigned comment from Woodenfan (talkcontribs)
Anything that's anywhere besides those two big Peon pages should be fine. Snattle and such are major characters/battles. I like Colosseum and XD too, I've just never given myself the time to go back through them. =P Tiddlywinks (talk) 05:32, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
So, are Naps and Exol staying as pages, or is that not really going to happen? Woodenfan (talk) 13:11, 29 May 2015 (UTC)Wood
That's weird. I didn't realize we had so many individual Cipher Peons. Well, they can have a pass until someone feels like arguing otherwise. It's possible the notability of some may be arguable, but for me, until I've played the games again, I just don't feel like I could judge that well/easily. Tiddlywinks (talk) 13:31, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
Fair enough. I did find another Chobin battle when I went back to find Battle CD's too, so hey, I feel like i accomplished something. :) Woodenfan (talk) 13:46, 29 May 2015 (UTC)

Cooltrainer Reena

The reason why her Pokémon are different levels in Crystal is because they got raised for that game, but since the Crystal listing and GS listings are the same, they use the GS levels. Blob55 (talk) 11:52, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
