By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Oak

Why are you changing the transliteration of the Japanese name "Okido" to "Orchid"? That is incorrect. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 11:58, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

The edits you're doing should be discussed first. Please contact an admin and discuss with them before doing your edits. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:11, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
"Okido" is the official trademark romanization of Oak's Japanese name, IIRC. So "Okido" is correct.--ForceFire 12:26, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

Game title

Please stop adding colons and removing the "s" from the title of the games' Japanese names. There is no colon in the kana, and the "s" is on the box cover of the game, so it's officially "Pocket Monsters". Thank you.--ForceFire 12:26, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

I've also blocked you for 2 hours so you can notice, read, and respond on your talk page. If you don't respond to these comments and continue making your edits after the block, your block will be longer.--ForceFire 12:28, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
I'm really sorry. Wc12271991 (talk) 18:18, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

Pointless edits

Please stop making an edit only to undo your own edit, it is not constructive and can be seen as vandalism. If you continue to do this, you may receive a block. Thank you.--ForceFire 04:56, 22 January 2020 (UTC)

Sorry about that Wc12271991 (talk) 08:47, 22 January 2020 (UTC)

Talk page policy

Hey! Please don't respond to discussions that are over six months old, as you did here. You're unlikely to get a response this way. If you want to continue the discussion, create a new section. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:30, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

I also see you're manually creating your own sections on talk pages. You probably shouldn't do that. In order to create a new discussion/section on a talk page, just click on the "+" sign at the top of any given talk page and fill out the fields. This will automatically create a section for you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:04, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
Once again, please use the "+" sign to create your own sections. Don't do it manually. You're leaving behind unnecessary extra spaces between talk page sections. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 10:15, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

Translation edits

If you have doubts about a translation, go to an admin for help. Don't proceed with edit despite having doubts about it. The admins will help you whenever there's confusion. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 08:31, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

You were told to go to someone else. You did not do that. Please, heed the advice of more experienced users and try another admin first before proceeding with these types of edits. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:41, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
Which one of those administrators is able to translate Japanese text to English correctly? Wc12271991 (talk) 00:48, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
I'm personally not sure, but Template:Active admins would be a good place to start looking. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:51, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
Please be patient when asking the admins a question. If you have already asked one or two admins, wait for them to respond instead of asking many admins the same question. Also, when adding sections to a talk page; try to make sure you're not adding a new section to an archived talk page. Thank you. Frozen Fennec 02:51, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

Other talk pages

You do know Crystal Talian has a talk page, right...? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 01:34, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

Spamming talk pages

Please do not go to multiple talk pages asking the same question, go to one active admin's talk page and wait for their respond. Going to every admin you find is spamming and not constructive. To answer your question, translations should be handled by someone that speaks the language or has knowledge on the language. Thank you.--ForceFire 04:00, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
