Canonicity

I vote canon; they were written by the guy who envisioned the original series and the plotline of it. Of course, being that EP001 aired at the start of April, it may mean Ash's birthday is May 22. Going by year he was born in 1986. TTEchidna 07:56, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

Sounds fair enough. Though obviously not every extra thing in the novels can be considered anime canon - most notably Delia's restaurant - so probably take it on a case-by-case basis? :P 梅子^❄_❅ 08:19, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
