By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Abcboy (talk) 21:53, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

Quality over Quantity

Please actually put in effort when making articles, don't just write down one line and call it a day, that is simply not good enough. Quality over quantity. We want articles with actual substance, not one line articles surrounded by colorful templates. Next time, please put in effort and flesh out the articles, there's no rush.--ForceFire 12:32, 18 January 2019 (UTC)

I've also moved your article here. Flesh it out first and then it'll be moved into the mainspace.--ForceFire 12:35, 18 January 2019 (UTC)
I've also moved Napo to your userspace for the same reasons. It can be found here.--ForceFire 04:12, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

Edit warring

Hey, if someone reverted an edit you made, don't just add it back for no reason. That's what's called an edit war, which is against the rule. If you want to argue why it should stay, then take it to the person who reverted you. Ataro (talk) 03:34, 19 January 2019 (UTC)

List of Pokémon by origin

Hey, before you make an ambitious article such as that, it would probably be better if you make a sandbox first, so you could work out all the kinks first before it is properly created. I suspect the article may be moved into a sandbox by an admin. Just a heads-up on that. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:16, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

An article that covers origins is unwanted as it can be subjective and lead to edit wars. Such page already exists in the userspace, User:Reshi643/Pokémon designed after animals or plants, and it has been agreed that it should stay there (for the reasons I explained). And with above, don't just make an article in the mainspace, especially one of dubious notability, create it in you userpage first and then the staff will decide if it's worthmainspacing or not. Thank you.--ForceFire 03:31, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

Appearance

We do not describe the appearance of the game characters, we don't think it's necessary to describe what they look like. Thank you.--ForceFire 04:12, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

Counterparts

OK, this has gone on long enough. You've been labeling characters as being counterparts despite having superficial similarities at best. And despite people constantly telling you why they're not counterparts, you continue to add them back. I've already warned you about edit warring, so I'm going to do it again. Do not, under any circumstances, add something that was reverted back without a discussion first. And by "discussion", I do not mean an edit comment. Doing it again may result in a block. Ataro (talk) 21:38, 26 February 2019 (UTC)

I'm going to bring the topic of manga counterparts to a dicussion in the fourms instead because debate about counterparts can be quite controversial. TwistedMeow (talk) 03:44, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
I don't see how moving the discussion to the forums would be a smarter move. It doesn't make any difference to me. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 15:46, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
Well, this is a debate regarding counterparts. TwistedMeow (talk) 16:12, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

Sword (game)/Shield (game)

Please don't create article for the protagonists just yet, we know nothing about them, so there's nothing to put up. Don't just do as you please. Thank you.--ForceFire 17:20, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

Just for now? TwistedMeow (talk) 18:34, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
Yes, for now. Please wait until more information comes out for anything regarding Generation VIII. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:39, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

The Preview Button, again

Once again, you didn't use the preview button while trying to post on the talk page for the Magearna article. Please do so in the future. There's no need to edit a page many, many times consecutively, regardless of whether it's a mainspace article or a talk page. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:06, 19 July 2019 (UTC)

Aw, I forgot. I’ll have to use my trusty frying pan, as a memory pan! TwistedMeow (talk) 04:22, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
You're still not doing it. Don't edit your original messages anymore and just post new ones. You're going to fill up the page history. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:42, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
This is still a recurring issue for you. Please use the preview button instead of making multiple edits to a single article. --Abcboy (talk) 02:49, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
Yes. I usually tend to publish an edit without the preview button. TwistedMeow (talk) 04:45, 11 December 2019 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hello. I have noticed that you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently, and have made a total of 4+ userspace edits today. Please do not edit the userspace any more, as the userspace policy limits the amount you can edit your userpage: No more than three edits per day (by UTC), and you must contribute to the mainspace more than you edit your user page(s). This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our servers. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal page(s). The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your user page(s). Thank you. --ForceFire 05:08, 27 August 2019 (UTC)

Japanese VA

If you want to create a page for a voice actor/actress (English or Japanese), please create it in your userpage first, don't make it in the mainspace. The three pages you created were not notable per the requirements on Project VA. Thank you.--ForceFire 04:20, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

Force preview

Hello, as you have failed to use the preview button once again, you have been placed in the force preview usergroup, meaning you have to preview you edits before saving. Also, your two responses to this issue in a section above implies that you are 1- not taking this seriously and 2- purposely not using the preview button. Both of which will not be tolerated. Take your messages seriously and start using the preview button. Thank you.--ForceFire 06:43, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi there, can you show me my logs that I failed to use the preview button? Because I do not want to make the same mistake forever. TwistedMeow (talk) 17:03, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Pokémon Shirts

Hey, I noticed you've done a lot of great work documenting info on Pokémon Shirts! As you may or may not know, Pokémon Shirts will be discontinued on June 11th due to the closure of Original Stitch. If you happen to be available, any help documenting what we can before the closure would be highly appreciated! This is something we're discussing on the Bulbagarden Discord server if you happen to have a Discord account and would be interested in working with us on this over there. Thank you!
