:I, too, am a huge Mother/EarthBound fangirl, especially with Ninten/Ness and Lucas as my bishies (oh, and Claus, too) The only think I knew about EVE was that she taught Ninten one of the Eight Melodies to bring Giegue back to normal (the way to defeat it in Mother). Its mother was a human princess, Maria, known as Queen Mary in Magicant. The Eight Melodies were sung by Maria to Giegue when it was a baby, and that's why he's vulnerable to human emotions...unlike Mewtwo, who has a savage heart, obliviously.
