By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Curry encounters

In this edit, you added to the curry page that the probability of Pokémon joining you is based on the rank of the curry you made. However, the guidebook instead states that it is based on your Pokémon's sociability. Where did you get these probabilities from? --SnorlaxMonster 05:54, 30 October 2021 (UTC)

Manual testing. The curry hunting community found that those are the odds, or at the least the most approximate chances, of wild Pokémon showing up on Camp. From my own hunting with Copperajah ranks, after a total of 38000 curries I've got 7114 encounters, for example, which equals to around a 1/5 odd of a spawn. People have tested Charizard and found the 1/4 probability, and with Milcery found the 1/7 probability. We unfortunately don't have the Wobbuffet and Koffing spawn rate because, well, they are just bad, and simply no one has bothered to truly go for it. I plan on grinding out those 2 ranks once I get my shiny currymon, but am struggling a bit for it. The sociability does have an effect, which is just about whether or not it hits the neccessary threshold to start trying to spawn them. I initially was sure that it was when the party hit 200 Average Sociability, but Anubis is currently looking into it and we are finding out that different party sizes have different thresholds. All in all, sociability has an effect on spawns, but it's only whether they can appear or not, they don't necessarily increases chances, based on my own testing. You can see some of it (again, all manual) on this initial spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qksDWdVSyqUHg6OBAQt_zfTShVO_UZWrxT77pyGDR18/edit?usp=sharing SpikOriundo (talk)
