D:

You know... it's probably a better thing to wait until like 3 AM to edit the Pokémon Infobox. The servers get kinda pissy if you don't... especially with all the traffic.

Also get on AIM so we can communicate better. D: TTEchidna 01:02, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

I'm afraid 3 AM is a tad inconvenient for me, seeing how it's 3 AM in my time zone as well (I really don't feel like getting up at 3 in the morning to contribute to a Pokémon fansite of all things) so how about around 9-10 PM, or 6 AM on Thursday after I watch the anime on KeyHole?
As for getting on AIM, I generally don't use that service and actually prefer the talk page, especially since I get e-mail notification whenever someone posts here. However, I just installed [http:www.pidgin.im Pidgin] in case you absolutely must contact me via AIM. My screenname is the same as my email address (quagbert (at) gmail.com) and I'll try to stay logged in whenever I'm working on something on this site. Just keep in mind that I'm not available 24/7. D: Quagbert 02:47, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Everyone always with the email address as the screenname... does no one ever set it up with just the screenname anymore? TTEchidna 06:35, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
for the record, 6AM EST is a superb time to edit stressful templates. (also, Pidgin > AIM) -- MAGNEDETH 06:41, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

CSS

Is there a particular reason you switched the -webkit-border-radius? I did have the code I used there tested in Safari as well, so I have no idea what differences your changes are making, aside from the fix to the usermessage box. If you could at least mention something in the edit summary for me, since I am testing my code and otherwise have no idea what you're changing. If you're fixing something, I'd like to know what it is, so I can avoid the issue in the future.

On the note of that, however, for future reference, the border-radius line should always be under the -moz and -webkit variants, so they're processed first in the correct browsers (those two being the preferred codes, and the least buggy). -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:05, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Unfortunately, Safari (at least from my experience) doesn't support the border-radius shortcut for individual corners (i.e. -webkit-border-radius: 1em 0 0 1em;) so I had to replace it with the code for the individual corners, as before my edit none of the corners were round when viewing the site in Safari.
As for the plain, non-browser-specific border-radius code, I'll take your word and leave it after the -moz and -webkit code, but I figured I'd let you know (my apologies if you already know) that according to this site the latest version of Opera (10.5) and the upcoming Internet Explorer 9 both support it, and I'm sure Firefox and Safari will eventually support it as well. Quagbert 11:20, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
I saw it once I'd gone and re-tested the CSS in Safari (Safari doesn't do an amazing job at testing changes), so I apologize if I was a bit short with you about it. But it would just do me a huge favor if you leave something in the edit summary, or hop on AIM or even IRC every so often, so I can get in touch with you easily. (there's a #bulbapedia channel now on the irc.systemnet.info network, if you've got any access to it.)
And yeah, I'm aware of the future CSS3 support (although I hadn't seen that page in particular, nifty stuff). It's been mentioned on the Main Page talk, as well as mentioning that the unprefixed border-radius should always come last, which is why I've been switching your edits around a bit; it's already a pain in the ass to get things to semi-work in IE7 or IE8, so I'm trying to avoid anything that could cause an issue in any other major browser. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 16:17, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Border-radius

Hmm... Having it as three templates... kind of a pain in the ass. I'm gonna see if I can set up something that can serve as a singular template. TTEchidna 20:41, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

QUAAAAAAAAGGGGGGG... {{border-radius}} is not working with left! My new proposed template should take all the problems away. NOW FREAKIN' RESPOND PLZ. AND TELL ME GOOD THINGS ABOUT ROUNDY. D: TTEchidna 07:42, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Fixed it. It appeared fine when I tested it in Safari, but never thought to try it in Firefox; looked like I had an extra "t" in the bottomleft property for Mozilla. Now it should work fine in both browsers. Quagbert 16:11, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Though I think it'd be better to replace all of that mess with just {{roundy}}, now... TTEchidna 02:20, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Physiology for the Black and White Starters...

Considering I did the Physiology sections for Zorua and Zoroark, could I do the Physiology sections for the starters, also? I was thinking about asking Trom, but felt a little intimidated. Steph 17:43, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Go right ahead; *remembers the articles are protected* you could try writing them in their respective talk pages, then I or another admin will add them into the articles (assuming this is okay with them). Quagbert 19:55, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

The new legendaries

Sorry, I got to it a bit earlier than you. here and and here. You can decide which pages you want to keep. You're also welcome to edit the one I have already if you'd like. Jello 20:42, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

I don't really see that much to edit since, aside from different wording in the "Trivia" section and the inclusion of the Japanese words for white and black in their respective "Name Origin" section, your drafts are pretty much the same as mine (I'm not saying you copied me, though). Anyway, I've linked to your draft articles on the Gen V talk page. Quagbert 21:01, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Quaaaaaaag

WHYYYYYYYYY.

Why didn't you check the links before you made them into a substable template that'd cause a natural disaster? And why the hell is Special a parameter there? None of the Gen V Pokémon will touch Special. That's for the Gen I Pokémon only. TTEchidna 03:44, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Uhh...these links and subsequent natural disaster you're talking about; do you mean the link to Pokémon instead of Pokémon or leaving Pokémon with no link, as you mentioned here?
As for the Special thing, that must've been because I used a Gen I Pokémon's article (can't remember which one) as a base, and apparently I overlooked that. ^_^; Quagbert 15:45, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
Yes I mean that! Leave it with no link. Link to the generation instead. TTEchidna 01:48, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Episode info

DP184 and DP185 needs some updating with the missing staff info. J-J-M 22:59, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Done and done. Quagbert 00:39, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Why are DP181-191 and DP171-180 incomplete with the staff info but BW001 is? Wasn't those mentioned yet? J-J-M 18:01, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

I have to go back and do those pages; I was in procrastination mode at the time and just never finished them. ^_^; Quagbert 22:39, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
I tried my best to help with the older episodes. I thought you would need some, with the amount of episodes there are. I hope I'm doing them correctly... MaverickNate 22:48, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
You did do them correctly for the most part, except that I like to have the Kanji for staff members' name be as much as an exact match to the onscreen credits as possible -- this makes it possible to correct mistakes made by other sites with this info, like Pokeani -- and also have spaces in names that have them onscreen, such as 志村 泉 instead of 志村泉 for Izumi Shimura. This of course requires having screencaps of the ending sequence for every episode, so don't worry about going back and fixing this yourself.Quagbert 00:33, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Um, about DP183, did Iwane and Natsume work on the episode together? That's what's listed here. J-J-M 16:01, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Yes, they did. Quagbert 02:36, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

Two things

You can't change the image to a redlink because now it won't appear for days when we do actually move it. and 2) we decided not to move anymore unreleased Pokémon pages until the English release. Relinking all the links is something we decided was a waste of time just to do it again in a number of days. MaverickNate 21:59, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Oops, sorry about that; I just wanted to update with the couple of new romanizations I found on pokemon.co.jp. Fortunately, Elfuun was the only new one that didn't already have a confirmed English name. If I find any new official romanizations, I'll just update the Japanese name list and keep the links the same. Quagbert 22:34, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Yeah. That should be fine... maybe even the two romanizations for the Japanese names on the species pages and any cards too. Thanks for keeping a look out for official romanizations! MaverickNate 22:38, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

aim

Hey Quag, are you on aim? If yes, then please can I have your id? I have to ask few things from you, thanks. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 03:35, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

I do have an AIM ID (same as my email: quagbert (at) gmail (dot) com), but I'm very rarely on AIM, so if these things you have to ask from me are related to Bulbapedia it'd be better to just post them here on my talk page. Quagbert 12:36, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I'll try to explain it here. It's about the romanizations of the names specially the one in the anime staff articles. I have noticed a lot of red links in the anime staff articles regarding the romanization templates. I have been thinking, is it okay if I start working on some of them? For example, 阿部由美 is for Abe Yumi and so on. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 14:19, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
Go ahead, as long as you keep a few things in mind; first, make sure to include <noinclude>[[Category:Romanization templates]]</noinclude> for each romanization you make. Second, you'll need to use macrons whenever necessary as described here, such as using Yūji Asada instead of Yuuji Asada for 浅田裕二. Finally, I have come to believe that some of the names, particularly for the inbetween and touchup animation in episodes like BW016 are more likely Chinese or Taiwanese rather than Japanese. You may want to use a Chinese dictionary site like this one for those names. Quagbert 20:07, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
Cool, they're in Simplified Chinese (some of them) by the way. I used a bunch of dictionaries, Ume's help, and anime news network (one of the most helpful tool) for the names. I worked on a lot of names but there're still a bunch in pending. I'll try to work on them as well, in the free time. Hope they're all okay, thanks. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 11:31, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

anime staff

The external links on some pages no longer work, as seen on this page. I wanted to bring this to your attention so that you could choose a course of action. MaverickNate 03:20, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Oh, I see; I forgot that Infoseek shut down its web hosting service last fall, and that was one of the sites hosted there. Unfortunately, the site hadn't been updated since around 2006 or so, so I doubt it'd be at a new location, and only a few pages are saved on the Internet Archive, none of which are worth anything, so we'll just have to remove all the links to that site. Perhaps this afternoon I'll take care of them if someone hasn't already. Quagbert 13:08, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
What then can we do about the remaining Advanced Generation episodes needing their credit pages? I really think we should get the old ones finished, because as things get older and older in the fandom, they will most definitely be harder to find. MaverickNate 21:26, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
One option would be if someone with access to those episodes took screencaps of each ones' ED, like this, which we would then use to fill in the missing staff info. Of course we wouldn't have the luxury of being able to copy/paste from a web page, but it'd be better than nothing. One day I'll see if I can try doing that myself, and make a user sub-page linking to those screencaps. Quagbert 22:04, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

{{Episode staff directory}}

Since you're deeply involved in anime staff, what do you think about this template? Pokégeek 17:14, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

  • Sorry for the delayed replay; I've been busy lately.
  • Well, I'm not quite as involved as before; I've really been slacking off on the anime staff stuff lately since my interest in the anime in general is at a low point right now. I'd be okay with this redesign, except that I'd adjust the colors in the "____ series" side to make it easier to read.Quagbert 20:15, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
