::To your first point: I really don't consider it notable. There are ample explanations. You pointed out that he could have replaced it with a different one; another possibility is that the developers never intended for NPCs to have to follow the same rules as the player. Either way, it's easily explainable and not a big deal that needs to be worried about. | |||

For most Pokemon, this is the anime or manga (since the games rarely give Pokemon any role at all beyond being in battle).
