Hi, yeah. Please don't close this table, since it's meant to cover the whole page. Okay? Also, I'll do a better layout when I feel like doing it. kthxbai

Editing my userpage

Will I be blocked? Sorry I'm obsessed with my user page, I can't cure my obsession.- unsigned comment from Grabbergirl (talkcontribs)

Replying on your talk page. Masatoshitalk 21:13, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
I'm doing good! just the list today but the first shipping tomorrow - unsigned comment from Grabbergirl (talkcontribs)
Just so you know, talk pages don't really count as mainspace edits, you should try fixing articles. Masatoshitalk 01:45, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Type

So... type2 or type ? The link templates still has the "type2" template.----DJWolfy 01:10, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

it will be {{type}}. BulbaBot will be in charge of changing all the links as soon as it leaves its hibernation state. Masatoshitalk 01:13, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
No, I meant this page. What will happen to type2 ?----DJWolfy 01:14, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
It will be deleted once the job is done. Masatoshitalk 01:18, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
Nice. Took some years for it. Now someone can bring the issue up with the {{g}}.----DJWolfy 01:20, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

There isn't a problem if someone else other than BB changes type2 to type right ?----DJWolfy 01:23, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

This is a job for BulbaBot only. Masatoshitalk 01:24, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
And... why is that ? Things can be done faster with my quick hands. :p ----DJWolfy 01:26, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
Because we decided it so. BulbaBot will be in charge of it since he can do it a lot faster. Masatoshitalk 01:27, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
Ok, what about the {{g}} template ?----DJWolfy 01:28, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
What about it? Masatoshitalk 01:29, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
Well, we all know the issue about being a laziness template. But that was when the former EiC was in charge. And I don't get it why it should not be an universal template. Even SM agreed with it being a universal template.----DJWolfy 01:31, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
We're keeping it, it might be a laziness template but it helps get stuff done in less characters. It's especially done for side games. Masatoshitalk 01:50, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

Yeah that's what I said, it should also be used for every word beginning with Pokémon, for example {{g|Center}} or {{g|anime}}, not only for games.----DJWolfy 07:56, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

If Deth hasn't undone the intended usage the template had, then it means he carried TTE's wish of using it ONLY for games (mainly the side games). Any further discussions regarding that have been ignored since. so it's pointless to try and bring it up again because you'll get shot down fast. Masatoshitalk 15:54, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

Help needed.

Snorlax said you are player of Black 2 (or maybe other Masatoshi? I don't remember, I think he meant you)... well, if YES... then I need help with Route 4, more precisely the stuff that is marked as White 2-only in some way. I need someone to check Black 2 if stuff is really exclusive to White 2, or everything is the same as in White 2. I mean, I have feeling that the street in Route 4 differs between Black 2 and White 2. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 19:14, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

Animated Gym Leader, Champion and Trainer Sprites

I would like to know if when will the Archive be open for editing and uploads.. I would like to upload all the Gym Leader, Champion and Trainer Sprites in Animated PNG images... I hope it will open soon....--GASPERshut... 13:01, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Pokemon Trainer's Choice

I am simply adding links that go from the ag000 pages to the Pokemon's Trainer Choice pages. This will ensure that each AG000 page has a link to the Pokemon's Trainer Choice page. I am only trying to help and I apologize for any stress that I may have caused you. Amanater (talk) 04:14, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Elesa's sprite!

I see you've animated Elesa's B2W2 sprite, great, but could you split the motionless and animated sprites? I want to us the motionless sprite on the Gym Leader page. Thanks. Nickvang (talk) 17:43, 18 July 2012 (UTC)

Welcoming Bots

I'm very sorry for welcoming all of those users, some of which were bots. I didn't really pay attention to that, I just sort of welcomed whoever wasn't already permanently blocked. I didn't mean to cause extra work for you. サトシ101 (talk) 22:33, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

It's okay, you didn't know. No harm in welcoming new users as long as that isn't your only task in Bulbapedia, so don't be sorry for that. Masatoshitalk 04:57, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Re:Ok, fine

Thanx for the advice.
I would remember it next time.UltimateSupreme(T@lk) 16:50, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

Best Wishes episode list

I don't know why you reverted my edit on 8 December. Episode N's start date was known as soon as it was announced. We always knew that the episode I put the tag after was the correct break point, we just didn't have episode titles for any Episode N episodes yet at the time. Digifiend (talk) 23:29, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

The date wasn't added, we don't like adding something ambiguous like Season 16 continues into Best Wishes Season 2 Episode N below.. That would lead people to think the season would be ending then, which as far as I know, is not. Masatoshitalk 10:16, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

Edit summary

Someone mentioned something inappropriate in the edit summary, as seen here. PattyMan 03:17, 31 December 2012 (UTC)

Userpage Party

I'm trying to create my party from White 2 on my userpage, but I can't figure out how to change the form for Kyurem, what should I do? - unsigned comment from IVsaur (talkcontribs)

Change the Ndex parameter for Kyurem from 646 to 646W. That should do the trick. Masatoshitalk 04:03, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Thanks! - unsigned comment from IVsaur (talkcontribs)

Hiding

How do you make the Hide button? -EVsAndIVsaurs (Talk) 16:32, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

For what, specifically? For a table? If so, when creating a table (you can also check here on how to create them) at the beginning of it, you should add class="expandable", the class will then wrap everything below the first line. If all else fails, study the code of a table that has it. Masatoshitalk 23:32, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
That worked, thank you for the help! - unsigned comment from IVsaur (talkcontribs)

Multiple Edits

Hi! Thanks for dropping a message.

I know it seemed like I edited the same page multiple times but I was actually editing different sections of the same page, and the page being Mount Coronet, it had a lot of sections. I was adding the items obtained in Platinum in the area and each floor was edited and saved in its own sub-topic.

I do use the preview function every time to make sure there's no typo or code error. I'll try to minimise multiple edits in the future though I don't think any other page needs as much editing as that one.

Regards Ishu bagaria (talk) 02:13, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

It would be better if you could edit the page overall, actually. If you had to leave while editing, you can save the code in a .txt file and then resume your work when you're back. It's just to prevent server strain. Thank you for understanding. Masatoshitalk 02:53, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

Talkpage

Why is that a rule. I dont get how removing a message isnt "clean". I normally on like wikipedia remove blocks, spams and stuff that I dont care about and move messages to archives. Oh and yeah It is "stupid" and I haven't reverted it. BlackDragon 03:44, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Historical purposes, and so we don't have to warn users again. You have to understand that, while Wikipedia and Bulbapedia run on Mediawiki software, their policies are different. For one, we don't let Anonymous edit for obvious reasons. And we don't have as many servers as Wikipedia has, so that's one of the reasons we enforce a daily limit on userspaces, as well as users only joining in for editing their own userpages. We're mostly here to contribute to the wiki in information. Masatoshitalk 03:48, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

People do that? Thats weird. I get it, But ya know people could say that, instead of being rude. I dont think anons should be able to edit anyways...trolls, but I see the reason for it, still thinks its weird but I archived it. I just like removing dead messages that wont get replies. And archive messages with more than a few replies. Its just how I like to do things. But as for the userpage. If I have 3 big edits and I see a mispelled word, it would be against the rules to change it before I forget. Thats what someone told me even if I edit like 10 times that much in the main page.

Why cant I edit the 6th gen pages either. I have sprites for the pokemon made directly from the official image, like the rest are. BlackDragon 04:01, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

I dont have to move everything BlackDragon 04:01, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

I dont even care anymore. I just like to do things my way, Is all. Dont overreact BlackDragon 04:01, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

If you're going to archive, might as well archive everything so we can keep a closer track of your history, you can't just move your block reason message away and call it a day.
The Generation VI pages might be protected, unless you're trying to upload the sprites. If so, head to Bulbagarden Archives to upload them.
You have to move everything. Historic purposes, and as such, they should be left undisturbed unless it's vandalism.
Doing things your way doesn't always work, especially in a place with rules. We're not overreacting, we're only enforcing the rules. And please, do not recreate the page unless you move the full talk page, nor do create an empty page for the sake of having a working link. Masatoshitalk 04:15, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

"If you're going to archive, 'might as well archive everything so we can keep a closer track of your history" Sorry might that doesnt seem like a rule, just your opinion. Oh and we who? But I archived it. And have a space holder is not against the rules. Cant I just like archive the first 4 in order and keep newer still active ones? Besides is there like a bot on here that automatically archives sections older than a set time??? just wondering. BlackDragon 17:11, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

This section tells you what to do. My opinion is part of a rule. As part of the Staff, it is my duty to enforce the rules, as well as the rest of our staff. If you're going to move it to an archive, move it entirely and start clean. Having space holders are pointless and we're not going to have blank pages, might as well delete it and wait until there's content. And no, we don't have a bot that does that. Lastly, please take this week in order to read the policies and start indenting your comments. Masatoshitalk 01:10, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Dropped Item sprite

I just moved a file on the archives called a:File:Bag Dropped Item-f Sprite.png and I can't get the pages on here that they are being used on to link to the image. Can you help me? PattyMan 01:39, 2 July 2013 (UTC)

Neo SoulSilver

But, sir, I form that wikia, because the Wikinezka slowly "shut down". Check it. Even editing on Wikinezka is impossible. --Modikisha (talk) 18:06, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

Indeed, the Polish wiki is, unfortunately, dead. That doesn't mean the webmaster of a site can come here, and create an article promoting their site; it is borderline advertising, which is a bannable offense. And finally, your article did not meet the notability requirements, a wiki with barely over 180 articles is not really a popular site (at least yet). I hope you can understand my reasoning. Masatoshitalk 18:21, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
-sighs- eehh... all right, if you wanna it. But where we may find a good replacement to Wikinezka? Neo SoulSilver Wiki may be the last Polish Wiki about that. I'll try improve my site. --Modikisha (talk) 18:26, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
It's not up to me, since I'm not Polish and my knowledge about Polish is null. Improving the site would do a great deal for all the Pokémon fans in Poland, so feel free to keep going. Hopefully it will turn out well. Masatoshitalk 18:32, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

Why I made those edits

Beta is not the correct term to use for changed/removed content in video games, as the term "beta" refers to the stage of development where the game is tested before being shipped (i think?), it is highly unlikely huge amounts of data would be removed from the game at such a late point. Calling them "Beta elements" is disgustingly inaccurate. On the other hand, referring to such unused/changed content as things changed from the "Development cycle" is a more acceptable term. Please consider reverting back to "Development cycle", as beta is a horribly inaccurate term to use, especially since this is meant to be the Pokémon equivalent of Wikipedia. --The Truth aka Relicant 17:14, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

We will handle the naming of the sections when we decide the fate of the editing tags here in the discussion thread for them. I'll move this specific case up to this Friday. MaverickNate 17:21, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
Could you also refrain from editing my own userspace? That text you removed was hidden, you had no rights to touch it. Thanks. --The Truth aka Relicant 18:36, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
You are not allowed to add information about unconfirmed Pokémon, and I'm following the main rule. While it's true that you are the only one supposed to edit your own userpage, we can enforce the removal of certain content we feel is inappropriate or a breach of the userspace policy. If you add it again, it's certain that we'll remove it again. Masatoshi talk 18:46, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
You still haven't responded to my initial question. And don't try to hide behind Maverick Nate's response because it wasn't the answer I wanted. It was just a link about discussing moves/deletes/etc with the focus being on the "Beta" Pokémon games pages. nevermind about this that attitude will get me banned and i wont be able to fresh start sorry. --The Truth aka Relicant 18:52, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
While it may be inaccurate to call them "Beta elements", it can't be changed by anyone, especially without a proper discussion. What Nate posted was a link to the place where the renaming and possibly moving will be discussed. I would also suggest to wind down on the accusations (like you seemed to do right now), since Nate provided the answer you really needed. He's trying to make this smoother and official. Masatoshi talk 18:58, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
I get angry when things are inaccurate, which explains why I'm turning stupid over the beta misuse. --The Truth aka Relicant 19:00, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
I suggest you to control your temperament, then, like your recent userpage edit, which comes off as provoking. This will only make your fresh start harder. Masatoshi talk 19:05, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Quick Question

If we're not supposed to post info on "leaked" pokemon, shouldn't that one revision (even though it was all hidden) I made be deleted? --The Truth aka Relicant 18:57, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Looks like it has been taken care of. Masatoshi talk 19:17, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Well that was quick. --The Truth aka Relicant 19:19, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Uncreatable talk page

So why is Talk:Flying Press (move) protected from being created? This seems fairly counter-productive for any questions one may have about the move.... Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 22:46, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

You mean you want to update but can't do it? Archives is currently locked, so for the time being, you can't update it. Masatoshi talk 16:30, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
Okay it has been updated by G50 by now but sorry if i mess you to do that.--Rolandpokémon (talk) 13:40, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

Bulbagarden Archives Protection: How much longer will it last?

Do you know how much longer is Bulbagarden Archives going to be protected? It was originally protected to prevent leaked info from X and Y to be uploaded, but now that the games are out, I at least don't see any reason why it would need to stay blocked, even Bulbapedia has been open for edits for a while now. Can you do anything for it? Bulbabedia is in a deperate need for missing images and sprites from the new games! --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 11:38, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

This is a question better asked to the Archives Liaison, Kogoro. And upon further inspection, you already have asked her about this. I can't do anything that isn't without her consent, so please wait until she decides to unlock Archives, and additionally, try to ask one person only, and unless that person redirects you to someone else, try to stick with whatever that user said. Thank you. Masatoshi talk 16:30, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

Menu sprite update

At first, I would like to say that your work on updating the Pokémon menu sprites has been quite remarkable. I really like when someone puts effort into doing some improvements.
Secondly, could you please also upload the menu sprites for the Mega Evolved Pokémon? They should come in handy at various pages. Also, I was just wondering, should the Kalos Pokémon have their animated menu sprites uploaded? Just thinking.
In case you would be so nice to do at least some of these things, you can be sure that me and the rest of Bulbapedia will be very glad. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:35, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

Oops! Sorry for taking so long to reply back! Real life's kept me busy. Thanks, and I would gladly upload those, but our source doesn't seem to have it either, so we're kinda hitting a wall in there. Regarding the animated menu sprites, that would mean capturing all the Pokémon's menu sprites again, record the frames and then edit them one by one. It's possible but it's too tedious and expensive (since you still need the capture device). Masatoshi talk 15:39, 16 February 2014 (UTC)

Mega Evolution minisprites

Masatoshi, because we don't have the Mega Evolution minisprites, could you upload them in the Bulbagarden Archives? --Cinday123 (Talk) 00:13, 22 February 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, no can do. I don't have them. Masatoshi talk 00:18, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
So Masatoshi, do you have a Nintendo 3DS Capture Card? --Cinday123 (Talk) 00:22, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
No, otherwise I would have done them already. Masatoshi talk 00:28, 22 February 2014 (UTC)

Previewing

I know to preview my page first before saving it. But the glitch I kept encountering on the page in question would only appear after I saved it. I would preview the page, everything looked okay, and then saved it only to find that odd garbled code at the end.

Recent Sprite Changes

I was just saving all the pictures on the archives to my computer cause I'm weird like that & I was wondering what the point of changing the backsprites of Honchkrow from Gen IV, a:File:Spr_b_4d_430.png & a:File:Spr_b_4p_430.png, was? They look no different to me & you changed the game tags on them which i just fixed moments before you updated them. AshKetchumNo.1 22:19, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

They were actually different, although it only was a few shades of blue/purple. It has been fixed though. So yeah, I kinda nitpicked there, my bad. Sorry for the late reply. Masatoshi talk 06:22, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

Uploading XY screenshots

I'd like to upload some XY screenshots (specifically, screenshots of moves), but I currently don't have permission to do so. Could you grant me permission, please? --TotalPotato (talk) 20:07, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, I guess I shouldn't have asked a Bulbapedia staff member about this. I didn't realise that Archives and Bulbapedia were split until discovering that being autoconfirmed on Bulbapedia doesn't help at all towards being autoconfirmed on the Archives. The hoop-jumping you have to go through to upload images on here seems mental...--TotalPotato (talk) 12:07, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

Whoops, sorry for the late reply. Well, you already had your answer. Masatoshi talk 08:31, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

X and Y Pokemon models.

I noticed you've uploaded images of the models of all(at least I think you got them all, I just checked a bunch of random Pokemon from beginning to end) of the Pokemon in X and Y, are there plans for these to be added to the pages for every Pokemon under sprites or maybe a new section called "models" to be more accurate? If so when what ever way is decided I'd be willing to help add them to the pages, unless that is all figured out of course. ArchedThunder (talk) 05:53, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

Not all of them, I received help from Spriteit (who ended up doing more than I did), and Kogoro. Yes, there are plans to add them, but we're waiting until Kogoro states that we are ready to begin the transition. As for permission for you to add some of them, I don't see why not in my opinion; but you have to wait until what the aforementioned happens, because this isn't going to be just adding the models onto the articles. So I'd ask you to be patient until then. Masatoshi talk 08:31, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
Alright, awesome. I'm just kinda anxious to get them on the pages since it's been so long since the game launched, glad to know that it's finally happening soon. ArchedThunder (talk) 08:48, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
Well, we've got the project handled already. We appreciate your eagerness to help, though. Masatoshi talk

Hiya

Do those last edits mean the sidegames template is ready to use? CycloneGU (talk) 16:52, 31 May 2015 (UTC)

Yes. Would be wise to ask Kogoro first, though. Masatoshi talk 16:57, 31 May 2015 (UTC)
I actually commented at the Spinoff page. And haven't heard further. Last I asked, a couple of days ago, it was still being worked on.
I can pick up from Victini onwards as I think from there on can be done rather quickly, so I can quickly edit my list that I compiled from Rumble World. The only thing missing is Wii U, and your updates don't include that or Gen. VI. So still lots missing, I didn't think it was ready to use yet. CycloneGU (talk) 17:05, 31 May 2015 (UTC)
The templates are up to Generation VI and are there, you don't see them because they're uncommented. You can do that, but I still think it would be wiser if you ask Kogoro before doing anything. Masatoshi talk 17:12, 31 May 2015 (UTC)
Exactly. That's kinda what I did here, though I haven't heard back. Both Rumble games I made same as Rumble and Rumble Blast, and Shuffle matches Trozei. I didn't add Battle Trozei as I don't have its data compiled, though I did eventually buy the game and could go after it eventually. CycloneGU (talk) 17:15, 31 May 2015 (UTC)

Ash's Charizard

Hi Masatoshi. I think I found a better image for Ash's Charizard but I am unable to upload it due to it being protected and I was wondering if you could do it for me. The image can be found here. Thank you. https://www.dropbox.com/s/vrj3nyr3bbppm7w/Ash%20Charizard.png?dl=0 --Rahl 01:04, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Upon inspecting your image and comparing it to the current one, I've decided that the original one is better in terms of quality than your image, since your image contains artifacts around the body and in the action lines. Furthermore, and in my personal opinion, I'd like the image to contain the full body, without missing part of the wings. Thank you for understanding. Masatoshi talk 21:27, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

X & Y Games and Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire battle sprites

Many battle sprites of Pokemon in the four games that I mentioned in the headlines are missing from the Pokemon pages on Bulbapedia. It's too long for me to list, but you and Spriteit forgot to upload the remaining images for the four games mentioned in the headline. Do you think you can find and upload the missing battle sprites (You might have to look at each of the various Pokemon pages on Bulbapedia to know which pages are missing images? Examples of Pokemon missing battle sprites includes Gyarados and Steelix. The missing battle sprites (in national Pokedex order) start at the page of Venusaur and end at the page of Hoopa.Ctc1017 (talk) 15:50, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

Sorry for the late reply, but apparently Spriteit has talked to you somewhere else. Masatoshi talk 00:53, 25 December 2015 (UTC)

XY & ORAS sprites

Some of the sprites from XY are also used as ORAS sprites on bulbapedia, but on the page of the sprite isn't said that it a sprite of ORAS is. Is that OK, or not? Lokki (talk) 16:37, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

It's not okay, apparently there has been a halt regarding the tagging of ORAS models. We'll retake this project, starting probably this weekend. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Masatoshi talk 00:53, 25 December 2015 (UTC)

VSPortraits

I just uploaded those cropped vs artworks because actually Juan also doesn't have an official vs artwork since he is geniii character only and it was uploaded one for him a long time ago. I thought that was permitted because this vs portrait weren't deleted at any point and kanto e4 and hoenn's bf were with old sprites of ten years ago while he doesn't, so I uploaded thinking on make the pages more attractive and those characters to not being the only with old sprites. It was not my intetion to make anything illegal or that would hurt bulbapedia's terms, I just did it because I thought it was permitted since another user did it and didn't have the vs artwork deleted. Don't worry. You didn't know. The reason why I asked you is because those crops don't exist in the games, as you said, he doesn't have an official VS Artwork. Who is the one you say didn't have his images deleted? I'll take a look at it. Masatoshi talk 20:17, 24 March 2016 (UTC)

Dealing with Evil Trolls

I hate PokémonGamer for his constant trolling and recent bullying, calling me dumb for being a good Samaritan. We know he'll come back again. I've read that on several different wikis, they have a thing where they block the troll's IP address to prevent them from creating any more account.

Also, this guy is completely dumb. Some of his sockpuppet account state that they're "not PokémonGamer", which is the dumbest way to give out their identity. Also, can you hide the edits done by the evil troll for my talkpage, please? UxieLover1994 (talk) 22:21, 24 March 2016 (UTC)

Done. Masatoshi talk 22:25, 24 March 2016 (UTC)
Thank you very much. UxieLover1994 (talk) 22:27, 24 March 2016 (UTC)

About Animated PNG files

I have a huge question I'd like to ask you. Do you know how I could make the Animated PNG files smaller than 2MB? 'Cause I've noticed that the Bulbagarden Archives doesn't allow uploading of files larger than 2MB, and I'd really like to upload a PNG animation which is 6.72 MB in size. But I've tried every possible way I can make it smaller without any loss, but the lowest I can make it... is 5.27 MB. I've tried compressing standalone .png files and then putting it together with APNG Assembler, but it makes it become 10 MB in size. What should I do? Is there anything you use to make Animated PNG files smaller in size without any frame skipping?—Platinum Lucario (talk) 21:21, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

Try APNG Optimizer, you may find better luck. If it's a Generation VI move, it's not worth it. I've tried it before. Masatoshi talk 00:39, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
It made the file bigger. It's now 6.78 MB. I wonder, how come did you upload the animation of the thunderstorm and hurricane from B/W? It's well over 2MB and it's roughly about one megabyte lower than mine. And why did you upload it if no file over 2MB is allowed?—Platinum Lucario (talk) 08:55, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
Then there's a lot going on in the animated file (backgrounds moving and whatnot). Is it from Generation VI? And regarding the big files uploaded in Archives, it's because I'm part of the staff and thus I can circumvent the limit. Masatoshi talk 11:26, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
That makes sense. Anyways, the file that I wish to upload is showing the effects of a Slumber Trap in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. It was meant to be used on the Traps section of Dungeon tile. Here's a link to the animated file, the top screen version of it and a .zip file containing the frames, and the top screen version of it. Feel free to modify it in any way you wish.—Platinum Lucario (talk) 13:15, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
It's a Nintendo 3DS image, for size reasons, we're not uploading animated files that come from the Nintendo 3DS console. Speaking of which, did you get permission to upload Nintendo 3DS/Generation VI related content? Masatoshi talk 11:28, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
I haven't uploaded any animated images yet, but I have uploaded model images of traps and tiles that appear in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. And wait... do I actually have to have permission to upload any images from any Nintendo 3DS games? I didn't know it applied to all 3DS games, I thought it only applied to Generation VI games. If that's the case, then I guess I'm trouble, I'm really sorry for uploading the images of the traps... —Platinum Lucario (talk) 15:26, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
Also, on another note, they are screenshots taken directly from my capture card. And I have submitted the screenshots I took in which the traps were taken from, so they can be verified. —Platinum Lucario (talk) 16:26, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
While it's mostly for Generation VI images and media, Gates to Infinity is still a 3DS game. Since we've ran into people uploading images from other people, we're taking measures to ensure that the pictures are from the users themselves and not taken from outlets without permission. It's just for you to be in the clear and free from suspicion. That's a good step regarding verification, I would have done it with Kogoro, but Zesty's a good choice, too. Masatoshi talk 16:41, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
That's understandable, it might also be a good idea to change the message, as well as make an update in that notice that appears before uploading files. Since it only states "Generation VI", a user may end up uploading a 3DS image from Generation V, without knowing that the policy applied to all 3DS games, just like what I did. 'Cause it never mentioned "Nintendo 3DS games", just "Generation VI". Just letting you know. ^^' —Platinum Lucario (talk) 17:00, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
Relayed the information, the notice at the top of every Archives pages is now updated to reflect that before uploading any Nintendo 3DS-related content, permission should be asked. Thank you. Masatoshi talk 10:34, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

about castform

ah, so there's a source to that? i did digging of my own and found nothing pointing to castform being artificial, if there is evidence then the issue is a lack of citation. maybe in the trivia section? Snow rat (talk) 22:51, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

There is. It's a line in the Hoenn games where a Team Magma grunt states that the Weather Institute had created a Pokémon that had something to do with the weather. At first, I had to check before undoing those edits because I didn't recall an actual mention of it being an artificial Pokémon. I believe that it being an artificial Pokémon is bigger than the trivia section, since it's an important part of the Pokémon itself, much like Mewtwo, Genesect, the Porygon line, among others.
