Possessives ending in s

I noticed you expressed concern about the way Bulbapedia formats possessives ending in the letter "s". Both Iris's and Iris' are grammatically correct; which is used is a matter of preference, although it is best to be consistent. The games use the former convention, so this is the convention that Bulbapedia uses. It is also convenient for templates like {{TP}} to have page titles formatted like Iris's rather than Iris'. Furthermore, the convention that omits the final "s" is also used for pluralized possessives, and using the convention that includes the final "s" allows distinction between the two cases. Regardless of your personal preference, please note that Bulbapedia always uses the method with the final "s". Thanks! --SnorlaxMonster 13:00, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
