By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Anime screenshots

Anime screenshots are to be uploaded in PNG format only. Not JPG or GIF. Any such images will be removed from the article. --ケンジガール 23:35, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

So if l upload the image under PNG format can i post it on the article again??--LHakaLH 23:37, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
If it is of good quality, then yes. --ケンジガール 23:38, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Pictures

When you want to change the images, it is best that you discuss on the page's talk page first. For anime pictures, we tend to like more recent pictures. So if you could, please take this into consideration. Thank you. --ケンジガール 05:50, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Got It!--LHakaLH 05:57, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Userspace edits

There is a one edit a day limit for right now because of server stress. As such, your userpage has been locked for a week. The userspace is the least important item on Bulbapedia. Please contribute more in the mainspace please. Thank you. --P S Yライダー 05:16, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Edit warring

Is not tolerated here. Take a cool down block for 2 days. If someone reverts you and you don't agree, you discuss it on the talk page instead of continually reverting the page mindlessly. It's in written right above in your welcome template, so I suggest you take some time to read it again if you haven't. Good day. Jellotalk 21:56, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 00:10, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for helping out with the Topps cards! But I'd like to remind you of the preview button. Instead of saving after uploading a few images, if you plan to continue, just wait to save until you're done uploading for a while. =) Tiddlywinks (talk) 20:40, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than one edit per day and make sure you contribute to our mainspace more than your userspace. This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our server. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! ----Pokemaster97 21:40, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Ritchie

When someone reverts your edit, take it to the talk page instead of adding it back. As for the image of Ritchie, an image of him alone is better than the one with Sparky. PattyMan 00:56, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Moves

A move must be commanded, or has a unique animation, for us to conclude that it was used. A Pokémon doing what it can naturally do (i.e. swim) does not mean it is using a move. Even if they are carrying people, doesn't automatically make it the move, it still has to be stated that it is, or otherwise it isn't and it's just swimming. Thank you.--ForceFire 05:29, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

Consecutive edits

A polite reminder about trying to avoid making consecutive edits where possible--BigDocFan (talk) 21:46, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
