Source?
Hello, just noticed you've been changing a lot of the Pokémon Go information on various Pokémon pages. Is this in relation to a recent update? Did you get it from Niantic, or data mining, or a third-party source? I just want to make sure the information is well-sourced if possible. --Felthry (F.K.A. Edit warring
Hey there! Please familiarize yourself with what constitutes edit warring. This is a blockable offense, so I must urge you to please avoid continuing to re-add material that a staff member, Tiddlywinks, has said is unsuitable for the Pokémon GO article. Thank you, and have a good day. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 04:50, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- Ok. Sorry about that. Is there any way that I can prove a certain fact, though? For instance, Tentacool's Pokemon Go cry is completely different from its main series cries? Am I putting this info in a wrong section? :/ - unsigned comment from Ktduong (talk • contribs)
- Two things:
- 1) Don't create completely new sections to respond to something. Just add your response after the comment you're replying to. (Or at the end of the conversation if there have been other responses since then.)
- 2) Can I ask if you know about page histories? Instead of adding something again just because you don't see it, when you notice it's missing, you should check the history to see why it was removed. No one's really arguing whether the cry changed, just whether it's worth being in trivia. If you disagree with why something was removed, starting a discussion on the article's talk page is usuually a good option. Tiddlywinks (talk) 05:00, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
The Preview Button
Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Tiddlywinks (talk) 04:53, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
