Preview Key

Utilize the Preview key when making edits so you can ensure that the changes you make turn out the way you want them to. This helps when arranging pictures and cuts down on smaller edits that can be done in one edit. --rockersk08 23:52, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Pics

Thanks for your pics in Gary Oak. Now I'm asking more. I put a template also to the "Temporary" part. Could you add missing pics there? --FinnishPokéFan92 07:28, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Signature Linking

Please link your username in your signature as Hikaru Wazana or Hikaru Wazana, NOT simply Hikaru Wazana. Doing it the last way adds your username as an unwanted link on our wanted pages, something that's frowned upon here. --Shiningpikablu252 19:12, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Code of conduct

Try reading it. Your recent edit shows that you probably didn't. Thanks! XVuvuzela2010X 02:43, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

I did not offend anyone. In fact, Sheldon is a great character.--Hikaru Wazana02:49-15 July 2011

Actually, I got the joke, and actually chuckled to myself. You didn't offend me at all. I watch the Big Bang Theory all the time. :P Littlmiget123 03:23, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
My bad. Sorry about that. XVuvuzela2010X 04:07, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

I saved the text as you mentioned in the edit summary if the page were to be deleted. If you would like for me to send you the text either on your talk page or through email, please say so. Thanks. --ケンジガール 02:02, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

Send me by my talk page.

Taking advantage, I like to know, like a page I've been working on months about the anime Cynthia will never see the mainspace area of the site, right?--Hikaru Wazana02:09- 14 November 2011

The text is hidden right above this message. And I really don't see Cynthia (anime) being a mainspace page on this site unfortunately. Cynthia hasn't done that much unlike Professor Oak, Giovanni, and of course the main characters. --ケンジガール 02:25, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

Right, I understand. =(

And thanks for the backup--Hikaru Wazana14:00- 14 November 2011

Thanks for the link for that preview. I just got there in the nick of time, for when I updated the page after I had seen it once or twice, it was already gone! --FinnishPokéFan92 13:09, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Link templates

Hey, I just saw your edit to the Cynthia article, and I'd just like to remind you to use link templates, like using Garchomp instead of Garchomp, since that is the whole purpose of link templates. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 02:52, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

Userspace warning

As of today, you have edited the mainspace 9 times this month. You have edited the userspace 12 times. That is against the limit of the userspace policy. You also edited the userspace in January more than the mainspace. Please reduce the edits you make to the userspace, or your privileges may be revoked. -- MAGNEDETH 03:43, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, it was never my intention to violate any rules.
But I always tried to keep me tied to the three editions a day, and Personally I do not think it's something useful for Bulbapédia fill the several pages with useless trivia.
If I see something useful to be added I put, as in my historical look and you can see that pages like Gary's Arcanine and Casey for example, were almost stubs before I add information to them.
Well, I'll try to restrain myself in my edits to my userpage anyway. The problem is that my time is relatively short and I have to make minor edits during my free time.--Hikaru Wazana 04:37- 08 Frebruary 2012

Grammar

Ahem, I noticed your edit to the Wani-Wani article and I noticed that the grammar was...less than satisfactory. I'm not trying to offend, but the line "it stands up well to the attacks of Wani-Wani and Typhlosion as he prepares to fight back the attack of the opponent an explosion in the background hangs the battle." is really hard to interpret. I'm trying my best to try and fix it, but please try harder to perfect your English next time. I'm sorry if this sounds insulting. Ataro 00:46, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

Ok, i understand.--Hikaru Wazana 01:00- 7 March 2012

OK, I don't want to get into an edit war with you, so I will tell you here. A battle is a battle you say? Then how come we don't count the times Ash battled Team Rocket? And it wasn't really a battle. Persian appeared, and Pikachu attacked it. Giovanni came in and had his Persian attack Pikachu, which easily defeated him. Ash didn't know he was battling Giovanni. Second of all, I know Mewtwo Returns is canon, but saying "Ash meets Giovanni for the first time since Mewtwo Returns" isn't big enough for a major event nor does it make sense. サトシ101 (talk) 20:14, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

The two Pokémon exchanged attacks and it ended in a winner. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that what a Pokémon battle is? Also, meeting up with Giovanni again after a few years gap is fairly notable. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 20:22, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

Shobu

...Hello. I see that you made an article for Shobu. Thank you. As an encyclopedia, these are obviously necessary. What's not necessary, however, is an article with no information on it. Please, next time, please put actual information other that "x character is a Cotd." An article with just that is no different than no article at all. Categories, plot summaries, voice actors, etc, are all needed. Ataro (talk) 00:38, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

Escavalier

Anime Cynthia

Keep this page groomed. Kenji Girl recently stated that characters will be more inclined to be made into separate anime pages if they have appeared in at least three anime series. So, if Cynthia appears anytime during XY, we can mainspace your page. As long as you can get it and keep it up to date as best you can. MaverickNate 21:04, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

For me, characters from the anime itself should have your pages unique to anime characters as done for the characters of day, many other wikis use this option primarily to increase the content of their characters, the wiki of Saint Seiya has a page for every canon of each saga and its characters as well as wikis from heroes of Marvel. Cynthia had a much greater weight in the story Lyra which in turn had a page for her. However I just back at work with the Cynthia's page if Kenji Girl tell me it will not be deleted.--Hikaru Wazana 03:50- 16 September 2013

XY075 trivia

While it was true that Jessie and Meowth met Steven in Advanced Generation, I doubt they remembered something that happened for awhile since no one could remember everything and Team Rocket has been too occupied with the main protagonists all the time. PattyMan 01:54, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

Nice Work

I know I'm not Kogoro, but I caught your request at her talk page. Nice work on those, especially (I think) the one for Shauna, which seems very detailed. I hope they get approved. Pokémon gender

Please understand. On Bulbapedia, it is our explicit policy that a Pokemon's gender can only be confirmed by explicit dialogue or by Attract/Cute Charm, or gender differences if the different genders have both been seen and the differences are unambiguous (i.e., while Dustox does have gender differences, it's not feasible to actually judge their gender by it since it's a relative difference). You have been informed of this very clearly.

I can understand your frustration when you consider it obvious, but we also cannot have you continuing to flout our wiki's standards. You don't have to agree with it, but please do follow it. Do not add a gender unless you can cite dialogue, point to Attract/Cute Charm, or show unambiguous gender differences. Nothing else is acceptable.

Thank you. Tiddlywinks (talk) 17:34, 5 November 2016 (UTC)

First, thank you for coming to talk to me about it. The problem with this rule is that Atract is a move that was only introduced in Diamond and Pearl (ie, "a short time") in anime. Because of this, many Pokémon in the anime before that had only its kind revealed by visual references (eg Ash's Aipom, Buneary, Butterfree, Charizard). The Atracct rule is not 100% effective, it is worth mentioning (I have my doubts about the way they used to define the genre of Tierno's Blastoise).
And the anime pretty much already established that there are two types of genre to the Pokémon, male and female, including giving a specific for the gender neutral in the Pokémon games. And most of these revelations have always been, I go back to do, made by visual references (Pokémon using dress, suit, a more delicate look to females, among other things).
Another point to be placed is than imposing this to Pokémon belonging to characters that probably will never return to the anime.
But ok, I will not engage in discussions like this. I will follow the rule, although I do not agree with it and think it needs should be reviewed.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 12:29, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

Hau (anime)

I notice you have your own page for Hau (anime), trouble is I've already started work on one which came first--BigDocFan (talk) 07:49, 8 July 2019 (UTC)

You being the first to create a page means very little. Staff has mainspaced pages in the past without taking into consideration which one came first. If your page is closer to the standards they're looking for, then it will get mainspaced. Otherwise, you don't get to claim that you're the only one who has the right to create a page on a specific subject. --Mikuri 22:15, 8 July 2019 (UTC)

Gengar's former Trainer

I'm not sure if this Trainer is notable enough to get his own article. He doesn't even have a known name or that much screentime. I recommend you always ask an admin before creating an article if it's notable enough to receive one. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 21:00, 8 March 2020 (UTC)

I imagined that he would fall in the same condition as Damian and Shamus, so it would already be considered remarkable. What happens from now on?Hikaru Wazana (talk) 21:04, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
Run it past an admin, see what they say.--BigDocFan (talk) 21:05, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
Shamus was only notable because he had a full appearance after getting a cameo earlier, a quota this Trainer doesn't fulfill. Unless we know for sure this Trainer is going to return in a major role in the future, we must assume this is the last we'll see of him. As such, the character is not notable enough to get an article. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 07:10, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
He's essentially a character of the day, and cotds always gets articles if they appear physically and have an important role in the episode. Gengar's former trainer certainly fits both of those, especially the latter since it expands on Gengar's backstory.--ForceFire 07:46, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
Oh, I didn't realize that. My bad. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 07:46, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

Edit warrirng.

Hello. I understand if you've noticed a theme with Ash's various PWC opponents, but when someone reverts an edit you made and gives a good, logical reason for doing so, don't just add it back for no reason. Secondly, if you wanted to add that trivia piece back, then just copy the removed text and paste it back instead of just undoing the whole reversion. Ataro (talk) 16:14, 12 April 2020 (UTC)

Okay, I'll keep an eye on that, thanks for the warning. If I follow this tip now (to copy only the part of Trivia), will I be committing this infraction or is it better to let someone else do it?Hikaru Wazana (talk) 16:24, 12 April 2020 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Deleting merger templates

Hello, I'd noticed you had deleted the merge templates on Daisy, Violet and Lily's pages a while ago, stating that it was an old discussion thread. I'd leave such a decision to the admins in future. I've readded it, hoping a discussion would get underway. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 13:54, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

Bulbapedia discussions can no longer be answered after six months of creation. And personally it doesn't make any sense to put together the three pages of the characters when each one has its own identity and own story within the anime (including Daisy).Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:44, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

Interjecting

Please don't interject into a conversation like this to explain what someone else means. Before Force Fire even had a chance to respond, you piped in and provided an incorrect clarification on what Force Fire was saying. As you can see later in the conversation, this caused serious confusion for the other user, who thought that your erroneous description was accurate.

If it's a question that you know one of the two users in a conversation is going to be able to answer themselves, just let them do so. Trying to answer on their behalf is only going to cause problems. --SnorlaxMonster 14:55, 13 December 2020 (UTC)

What wrong information did I give? The only thing that was different is that ForceFire said that the matter lacked another more specific source. And I didn't try to pass in front of anyone, I just wanted to help, since the user in question made a series of massive changes(which greatly hinders the progress of the information on the site).
If someone starts acting like a spambot, isn't it my duty as a collaborator to try to help?--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 18:31, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
You came in and said that a source like a game or news website was required, which Force Fire later had to clarify was not what he meant. Force Fire barely had time to respond when you came in and interjected; you can tell from the rest of the discussion that this confused RacieB about what kind of sourcing was required.
The user did not make any massive changes. RacieB added a single trivium to a number of pages, which is fairly small, even though it did affect several pages.
If you think a user may be a spambot, you should report that behaviour to a staff member. But RacieB was not posting spam, and was clearly engaging in a human manner. Nor do I believe that you thought she was a spambot, because you also engaged with her as if she was a human when you tried to explain Force Fire's comment. --SnorlaxMonster 00:17, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
Because I didn't think he was a spambot, I tried to talk to him. I even tried to be as polite as possible with him.
Look, I just tried to help, that's all. It will not be repeated. Send my apologies to ForceFire. u_u --Hikaru Wazana (talk) 01:08, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Eeveelution staff member

Just because these two characters look exactly the same in two different episodes, it doesn't mean they were actually meant to be the same character. Did the staff member say they were at the Raid Battle? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:24, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

And why would the character talk about Raid Battle with people she had never seen before? Even because the confusion happened because she didn't know Ash, Goh or Koharu? Do you really think that the anime would create two exactly the same characters, who live in the same city, who have the same Pokémon in a space of 47 episodes?
In a little while you will appear questioning whether Chloe's friends who appear in the background of school episodes are the same between episodes?Hikaru Wazana (talk) 03:32, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
Yes, I do think the anime would do that. It's been done before with the Otane character model. Check out her entry in the Anime character recycling article. Prior to her debut, her character model was used twice before in the same series. But no one's ever assumed they're the same person. This is why confirmation is needed in these cases. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:36, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
Concetta and Sara Lee says hi. And the example you gave is of a character similar to others that appeared in other phases of the anime. Nor is it the same case as you try to pass.Hikaru Wazana (talk) 03:51, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
They both appeared constantly in Showcases. Within that context, it goes without saying they're most likely the same character. Was the Raid Battle meant to be related to the Eevee Evolution Laboratory? And you missed my point. They used the character model twice in the same series, as in it appeared twice in the original series. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:54, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
Ash already participated in Contests, what is this relationship with Gym Battles? Dawn already battled with an Elite Four and Gym Leader, what is this relationship with Contests? Alain is a trainer who sought to know more about Mega Evolutions, what is the relationship between this and the Pokémon League?Brock is a Pokémon Doctor, how does that relate to him battling in the Doubles Championship in Hearthome or Pokémon Contests?Do you want me to continue?
This argument is so fragile that it can go far
Regarding your point, every time they recycle a look, they put a detail to differentiate. What is even perceived when comparing the charactersHikaru Wazana (talk) 04:06, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
Sorry to but in, but GrammarFreak means the character models are recycled even in the same series, like Tracey in the pages' list. I'd like to add that you're kinda steering away from the whole look-a-like situation here.Animaltamer7 (talk) 04:27, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

Comparision.png

I went after the character personally, in AG it is someone with different colored clothes, in BW only the face remains similar and the clothes change, in the original saga it may be the same character (although she has no name and no relevant information in both appearances). The detail that differentiates is the hair, in the Goldenrod episode it is a hair thrown to the right side and the Smeargle episode is to the left.It is even possible that Johto's character is the same, but at this point it is impossible to have this confirmation.

About the other answer...

It's okay, Animaltamer. Don't worry.

The point that puts the two characters as the same is the information we have about the two. AnimalTamer. If it were a case of recycling, they would not repeat the character even in the city where they live. Hikaru Wazana (talk) 04:40, 17 December 2020

Just butting in here, but I'm on the side of it being the same character. She has the exact same general design. From the hair, to her earrings and even her belt (with a buckle in the shape of a thunderbolt). The only difference between her appearances are her other clothes; but it's not farfetched to assume she has different clothes for battling and working. Everything else is identical. Not to mention her voice is the same too. I think it is way too nitpicky to compare her to character recycling between two entirely different sagas. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:53, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for providing the evidence that this is the same character. But regarding my "nitpicking", for the last time, Otane's character model was used twice in the original series. I wasn't talking about cross-saga character model recycling. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 08:21, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

Grammar again

Your description of Chloe's role in episode 50 was less than satisfactory. You used links that were already in use earlier in the same section, many of the links you added were redirect links, and overall, the text structure was not up to Bulbapedia's standards. I've hidden your text until it's been rewritten. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 18:00, 11 January 2021 (UTC)

Tense consistency

Please pay attention to the tense of the text you're editing. If it's the past tense, have your own text be in that tense too. Otherwise, it'll be inconsistent. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 20:48, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

I will try to pay attention to that.Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:42, 20 February 2020 (UTC)

But wasn't he too exhausted from his previous battle and training thats using stamina and resilience so the battle was likey due to true bond and be weakend enough to loose one powerful hit. --Gian9456 17:35, 20 February 2021 (UTC)
