:TPCI did not design Charizard and Gyarados. Game Freak did. A Japanese designer did. So anything that the international company says about the origins of a Pokémon means absolutely nothing. The thing is, the Bulbapedia one was created on a talk page complete unrelated to the subject (the size of Generation VIII Pokémon menu sprites), and the Archives talk page was created for a random Generation VIII menu sprite image.
