Just a follow up; I'm quite confident this was intended to be easter egg. Both the symbol on the bag and the official Galar League symbol depict a Pokeball with a red top and a blue bottom at the same slant. It was also shown subtly and more importantly, on the first episode of a league arc that first aired in Japan during the SwSh hype season.
