Welcome to Bulbapedia, Exo!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Userspace content

It's against our userspace policy to use your talk page as a substitute userpage. Do not remove any more comments, including the welcome page. Thank you. --Pokemaster97 21:01, 11 February 2013 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day and make sure you contribute to our mainspace more than your userspace. This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our server. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! ----Pokemaster97 21:38, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

Card images

Hello! I've noticed you uploading English images of various cards over the past couple of <enter span of time here, because I do not quite remember how often you actually do this, just that it happened quite recently>. I've also noticed that these images are coming from trollandtoad.com. This is not good. All English scans of cards need to be scans that our users do themselves, and cannot be taken from other websites without their consent. I must ask you to refrain from taking these images anymore, and that if you do wish to have an English image for a card page (or your user page) that you scan your specific card yourself. I may be able to finish Boundaries Crossed and Plasma Storm over my spring break, but we'll see. I've had to delete the images you've uploaded that came from TrollAndToad because they aren't ours, and we aren't allowed to use them.

Additionally, the names of the card images are at a very specific standard. We are currently only providing images for each specific artwork that exists, and Japanese images get transferred for the English name because of this standard. When English images are provided, they get uploaded over the old file...not as a new image. This keeps us from having to edit the English card page, and any other various pages that have that specific image. It also keeps the amount of files on the archives down, and keeps us from having to add and subtract tons of categories for the file pages. (All of the files for every card have their categories already listed, so the only actual change that needs to happen is the new file being uploaded over the new one.) Just a heads up, The Archives' upload page states that card scans are to be in jpg format and not png. Most of the time, they are to be uploaded over the current image as to keep the file's history intact and in order to avoid having to edit the card page unnecessarily. Comments and staff

Before you go back talking people, please pay more attention to who it is. Maverick Nate is a Bureaucrat of the site (not that you should be back talking anyone in the first place). There's no reason to give him such an attitude when he is trying to help you. Your images are a little over saturated and low quality. I'd like you to be a a little smarter with your words next time, and listen to Nate. He can help you with your formatting and how we handle files on the site. -- MAGNEDETH 21:29, 5 May 2013 (UTC)
