By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --PattyMan 01:59, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Edit warring

Hello. When one of your edits is reverted, it's best to talk about the reversion on the talk page of the user who did it instead of just reverting it back. That's what called an "edit war", and those aren't advised. That being said, I do not agree with your edit. Your edit summary said that "there could be other types Psychic is weak to", which is completely incorrect. The types that activate Rattled are the only ones Psychic is weak to, as of the current Gen. Second, if there was a hypothetical situation where a new type is introduced that Psychic is weak to, "all" would still be grammatically appropriate, even if the new type does not activate Rattled. Thank you. Ataro (talk) 00:45, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

I'm sorry for edit warring. But you don't understand what I mean by "could be". Here's an example; except for Sylveon, the types of the Eeveelutions are all pre-Gen IV Special types (Fairy probably would have been Special if it existed at the time, but that's speculation), but there's no Dragon-type Eeveelution, and Dragon was a Special type. On the other hand, the types that activate Rattled are the same types that Psychic is weak to (Bug, Ghost and Dark). To a person who doesn't know all the type matchups or which types were physical or special, there could be other types Psychic is weak to, and there could be Eeveelutions for all the former special types. That's why I made that distinction. Dinosauramiable (talk) 00:51, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

Another thing to mention; the Psychic page says "the types that activate Rattled are the weaknesses of the Psychic type", not "the types that activate Rattled are all strong against the Psychic type", so it's less ambiguous than what's now on the Ability's page.
