Hey!

I dont swear that much! The only person I ever swore at was Guardian, and no one cares about that.DCM((曲奇饼妖怪Spy on My Edits)) 03:02, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

...Why on earth are you telling me this?--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 20:07, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

=P

I hate that message at the top of your main page that says "you have new messages"! You've tricked me at least 71 times!! --Charmander -(talk or stalk!) 02:38, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

That reminds me that I have to shoot Missingno for starting that. you stop it to, its ticking me off . Expect when I really have a new message, and then it shows doubleDCM((曲奇饼妖怪Spy on My Edits)) 02:45, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Hee hee.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 02:50, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Whenever I see the new message box on a user page, it's almost sure its going to be a fake. Jmath 15:59, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

About signatures

Thanks for warning =) I'm trying to remember all policies and codes. Is it right now, my signature? Gabriel Rocha (Diby esp) 22:13, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

magikarp

If you are going to change it to say however instead of what I had, that correct punctuatiopn would be "Pokémon games; however," not ",however ". It would use both the semicolon and comma, not just the misplaced comma. MaverickNate 22:15, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

..."punctuatiopn"? Oh, sorry. I didn't know that, and I've probably done that 10384626446 times by now...:'(--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 22:17, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

GBOBPR

i actually liked it (apparently Mav did too), i thought it was cool. maybe itd be more at home on the forums in the new chit-chat section? -- MAGNEDETH 20:59, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

I dunno...I don't really use the forums.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 21:01, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
now an excuse to do so! i dont use them either, but, theyve opened up a pedia discussion section for us wiki goers. its also a good place to bring up large problems. -- MAGNEDETH 21:05, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
ok...i guess...--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 21:12, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
(drumroll)iiiiiiit's not working!(cymbals)--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 21:19, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
youre not the only one...oh well. when it DOES come back, check it out. -- MAGNEDETH 21:28, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

You're not alone

There are others around, but problems that started yesterday are causing a lot of editors to lose their access to many areas of Bulbagarden. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 20:45, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

Oh. I see.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 20:47, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

"there are exceptions"

i went to the admin TTEchidna when i clicked the link, what does that tell me?? what exceptions??? -- Landfish7 21:46, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Kk! *headdesk*--RexRacer -talk 21:47, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Landfish7:What I meant was way too many users go there to babble about any problems they might have. This applies to any admin, essentially.
RexRacer:What?--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 21:48, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Because they cant afford therapists. Case. ClosedDCM((Mock MeEdits)) 21:49, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

hey

Do you think you can take care of Chocolate's screw ups? They are all throughout his recent contributions, and I would really appreciate you using your expertise in fixing them, because of how good you are at them. ;) MaverickNate 20:27, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Um...sure. Ok.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 20:28, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
*gasps for breath* Ok, i think i got all of them.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 20:43, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
Mav, if my "screw ups" were using {{g}}, what's so bad about that template? Chocolate (Chat with Me) 21:18, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm sure he put it on your talk.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 21:19, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Why?

Why are you subst'ing {{g}} on all the card pages I put it on? We are supposed to use link templates whenever possible. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 21:15, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

*Points to above section* I was asked to.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 21:16, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
As part of style, as these guys will tell you, [[Pokémon games]] is always used over {{g|games}}. Cipher (Talk) 21:31, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
But why? We are supposed to use link templates whenever possible. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 21:33, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
Mav, Geo, or evkl, i don't remember who, said something about laziness and improper wikicode.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 21:34, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
If using link templates is "being lazy", we may as well just get rid of all the link templates. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 21:36, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
Not right at all. In some cases, link templates are necessary and very useful. In this case, they're really not. Cipher (Talk) 21:37, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, why are they not useful in this case? Chocolate (Chat with Me) 21:38, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
Link templates such as {{p}} and {{m}} are used to make sure people link to the right page and avoid redirects and disambiguations. Additionally, they cause the visible link text to appear differently than the link destination. On the other hand, {{g}} simply alleviates the user from typing six characters, and further obfuscates the wikicode when someone is editing it, especially to new users. For instance, reading "Charizard is a {{g|}}." is completely unintuitive. — Laoris (Blah) 21:42, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
See, I'd written an essay, but that pretty much sums it up perfectly. Cipher (Talk) 21:47, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
Oh but Charizard is. He's totally a straight-up G. TTEchidna 04:19, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Pikachu Sprites...

Um, here... Pokémon Yellow game opening... it's nothing... just compare Pikachu surfing and its GSC sprites. And, um, here...   and   and File:Spr 2c 025.gif. Now that I lokk at it, mostly its Crystal spirte looks like it. So, what do you should be on this page?--DRAGONBEASTX 21:23, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

It's still opinion. Which isnt allowed or something.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 21:24, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Well, okay. I guess you're right.--DRAGONBEASTX 21:43, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Sorry

I will use the preview button, instead. I didn't know it would bother anyone, anyway. I didn't even know you'd know when I was editing it. I apologize. I'll continue editing, but I will only save tomorrow as you've asked,

Gabriel Rocha (Diby esp) 21:31, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Ok, I will hold on. It's because I saved before reading what you wrote to me. I apologize once more. Gabriel Rocha (Diby esp) 21:32, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

FYI

I split up Pokémon Ranger (trainer class) and Pokémon Ranger (Ranger series) a while back, since they're two very different concepts. You were linking to the (trainer class) when the (Ranger series) would have been better, so I just wanted to make sure you knew. --((Marton imos)) 23:05, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

ok.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 23:06, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Gah!!!

You didn't do it all for every page. There are about 10 things that need to be done to every page, and you only did one, and you did the one that removed them from the category. Now, we don't have a list of things to do, because you only changed one of the many fields that needed done. It might have just gotten so much harder because of this. MaverickNate 22:29, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

oops...--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 22:29, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

{{unsigned}}

When you use {{unsigned}}, don't just put the user who added the comment. Also put the time that they added it. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 22:31, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

aw man, do i half to?--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 23:46, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
No, you don't MaverickNate 00:21, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
yay.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 00:33, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Mav: Why not? The unsigned template is supposed to work like a timestamp. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 00:47, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
It isn't worth the effort.--RexRacer -talk 00:48, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Then why do we even have timestamps? Chocolate (Chat with Me) 00:49, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
My guess is that its for people that are bored and decide to check the time for no reason.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 00:53, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Its got something to do with not joining in conversations from years ago.DCM((Mock MeEdits)) 01:13, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
All that is necessary is {{subst:unsigned|Username|21:00, 21 September 2008}}. Not hard. See the enormous discussion on this at TTE's crib. Thanks. --Bulbapedian - Talk 02:12, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
It's a waste of time. There is no need to do it. MaverickNate 02:39, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Can I go back to three tildes?DCM((Mock MeEdits)) 02:41, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
I meant a waste of time in going into the page history, getting the time, changing it to UTC, and putting it in the template. You should always sign with four, that'll take one second. Doing that unneeded junk'll take about 5 minutes. MaverickNate 02:44, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
No, it takes about 10 seconds. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 02:46, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Ten seconds that could be used for edting. PHAIL!DCM((Mock MeEdits)) 02:46, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Then there's no point to timestamps. Chocolate (Chat with Me) 02:47, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
If you insist.DCM((Mock MeEdits)) 02:48, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
If I may butt in, may I ask what all the fuss is about timestamps anyway? I mean, like we really need to know the exact time, down to the second, when a comment was posted. I'm Missingno. Master. Come see my new and improved user page, and tell me what you think! 02:49, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Actually, what I find most convenient is using the "Your signature with timestamp" button on the top of the edit window, so I've implemented it. Why doesn't everybody just do it this way, it's a lot simpler than hitting a doohickey way on the far side of the keyboard or going in the menu of the cell phone and changing the entry mode to symbols. Also, it is scary on that end of the keyboard! >>> File:Ani491MS.gif --Bulbapedian - Talk 23:32, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Er, what?--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 20:27, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Name

Hey, Kkllnn. I see you got your name changed like you wanted, but why? You evolved from a Kkllnn to a Cold. And why Conway on your user page? Fill me in on the current projects so I can get editing, because if you see my contributions, you'll see its been awhile. --Bulbapedian - Talk 23:21, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I'm not really involved in anything big right now. Lately, all i've been doing is TCG origins. As for conway, well, meh. I dislike him. And the "cold" thing is personal.--freezingCOLD (page, talk) 23:46, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Extra wording

For abilities that the game counterparts do not have, I would like the wording (for example): "Pickup is an ability in the Pokémon games that Rapidash cannot have." instead of "...in the Pokémon games, though Rapidash cannot have it." I think it flows better in the sentence without the comma, and I would like the first one. Thank you. MaverickNate 20:53, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Congratulations!
