By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --It's Funktastic~!話してください 00:35, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

Second warning to use the preview button. Continual failure to utilize it will lead to you being placed in the forcedpreview usergroup. Thanks. --Pokemaster97 20:57, 9 March 2014 (UTC)

Bootleg/rip-offs

Games that rips off actual games are not notable in any way as, well, they're ripoffs. They were made without the permission from the owners. So if you see another game that has a creature looking very similar to a Pokémon, don't bother mentioning it.--ForceFire 03:27, 3 January 2015 (UTC)

Did you notify Nintendo for that? It's pretty much not a rip off, it's an actual game made by Kongregate. If that was a pirated game, then that would have to be mentioned somewhere in the site like the Sonic Retro website that contains information about games that infringe/violate their copyrights.
UPDATE: The Nintendo staff has been notified, I will get an answer as soon as possible.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 09:21, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
Uhm... no. It's a bootleg game made by someone not from Nintendo. Heck, I would even go so far as to say it is just a coincidence, as the game does not have other characters that look similar to other Pokemon. And no, we will not mention bootleg games as they are not related to Pokemon (unlike a hack or a rom which is a modified Pokemon game).--ForceFire 10:33, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
Also, Nintendo isn't going to just "discuss" it with you,. After a 48 hour wait, they will just give you a generic message, weith maybe 25% answer included, and it may not be a complete answer. The point is that bootleg games and not notable. CycloneGU (talk) 16:54, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
They're not bots, they are a human and they are responsible for it.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 18:34, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
Even so, your insistence on having non-notable content in the article has made it impossible for anyone else who is not an administrator to edit the article for a time. And I have an edit I wanted to make there. So thanks for that. CycloneGU (talk) 18:38, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
That's probably a trademark violation. So it's not a generic message. It's a message about a trademark policy violation that they've been aware of.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 23:28, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
