Hello and welcome to my userpage! I'm Zesty Cactus, a ninteen-year-old Pokémon fan from {{pmin|Canada}}.

==Pokémon and me==

I've been playing the Pokémon games since I received Pokémon Red Version in the late 1990s. Overall, my favourite games are the [[Hoenn]] trio (third gen doesn't get enough love!) but I do keep up with the fourth gen games as well... I'm sloooooowly plodding my way through SoulSilver (stupid job keeping me away from my games D:)

While my favourites are probably the main series games, I've played virtually every side series game as well. I really like the Pokémon Ranger games in particular, and I'm really looking forward to the Ranger 3 game. Hell, I even enjoyed [[Pokémon Channel]] (it has its flaws, sure, but it's actually quite cute/fun and has surprisingly dry humour sometimes).

While I enjoy the anime, I don't really try to keep up with it anymore (YTV's schedule is too erratic and I'm too poor and busy to buy and watch DVDs all the time). Despite this, I occasionally waste money on the DVDs anyways (and eventually watch them). In general though, while I am familiar with the anime, it's far it's far from my area of expertise.

I read pretty much all the Pokémon manga I can get my hands on (generally, anything published by Viz). Pokémon Adventures is probably my favourite (isn't it everyone's?), though I'm rather fond of Magical Pokémon Journey as well.

I'm also an avid collector of Pokémon merchandise. Generally, I'm always collecting something, although I've been collecting Pokémon stuff on and off basically since the beginning. I'm especially interested in international stuff, but frankly I'll buy anything with Pikachu's face on it. :P

 

Most of my edits are concerning {{bp|Project Manga}}, {{bp|Project Merchandise}}, or {{bp|Project Globe}}, but I edit the randomest crap as well. I often lurk the [[Special:RecentChanges|recent changes]] and monitor what's going on and occasionally see things that need correcting or expanding.

As you may have guessed, I love languages! I'm currently working on improving my [[:Category:User fr|French]] skills as that's Canada's second official language (and is therefore probably the most useful second language I can pick up). One day I'd love to pick up a third language as well - I'm thinking maybe Spanish, as I do understand a few snippits of Spanish, and like French and English, it's a widely spoken language around the world.

Ignoring Pokémon (just for a minute), some of my other hobbies and interests include Sailor Moon (I collect Sailor Moon stuff too), being a music snob, going to concerts, "just chillin", and playing other video games, like {{zw|The Legend of Zelda (Series)|Zelda}}. I occasionally edit for [[Zelda Wiki]] as well (I joined ZW ''before'' [[Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance|NIWA]], mind you!), although I'm not an expert-level Zelda fan like some of the folks there.
