== About Myself ==
I've been into the Pokémon phenomenon after watching a few bits of the anime's first season, back when it first aired in the US.  I got my Red version as an early Christmas gift in October 1998, and I was hooked.  I followed that up with a bunch more; one-half of each generation's paired versions, the third version, and one-half of the remake pair.  I've also collected quite a few side games, as well.  In my opinion, each [[generation]] gets better and better.  Better graphics, longer storyline, and yes, an extra 100-or-so beasts to track down.  Call it tedious, call a few species uninspired, but I enjoy it.  I was also interested in the TCG for a few years, but eventually gave that up because there was no one living near me that played.  I will always love the games, and am in the process of watching a bunch of anime episodes that I've missed.  I've also started reading through [[Pokémon Adventures|Pokémon Special]], though currently I've only gotten to the Yellow chapter.
== My purpose on Bulbapedia ==
I had known about Bulbapedia for a while before finally registering an account on September 17, 2008.  I originally registered for the sole purpose of fixing spelling and grammar mistakes that I had found, but soon learned of all the different [[Bulbapedia:Projects|projects]] that were around.  It seemed that almost everything was taken care of, except for [[Bulbapedia:Project Walkthroughs|Project Walkthroughs]].  The place was pretty dead when I first found it, so I've sort of made it my mission to see it completed.  I started off by editing the [[Appendix:Red and Blue walkthrough|Red & Blue walkthrough]] {{tt|last summer|July-August 2009}}, picking up after the first page or two where the last person had left off.  Once that was finished, I started the [[Appendix:Gold and Silver walkthrough|Gold & Silver walkthrough]] from scratch, and am proud to say that {{tt|I completed it|August-November 2009}} almost totally on my own, with only minor changes from other users (the major additions were mine, anyway).  My original plan was to work through the walkthroughs for each [[generation]]'s paired versions first, then writing up guides for the third versions (and remakes) on a second run-through.  However, recently other members of the project have become more active, and that's great, maybe if we have enough interest the project will be taken seriously.  I think that maybe I'll start off on the third versions a little earlier than I anticipated, to minimize the chance of any conflicts arising.  I'm still a small-time editor, at last check I had over 750 edits to my name.  My dream (besides seeing the entire 'Pedia finished one day) is to see complete walkthroughs for every applicable game in the Pokémon series.
== Gaming ==
To be honest, I don't battle competitively, so I don't worry about [[Effort values|EVs]] or [[Individual values|IVs]].  I train my teams until they all reach level 100, that's good enough for me.  That's all I need to battle my friends.  I train species of all types, though my favorites are {{t|Dragon}}, {{t|Ice}}, {{t|Flying}}, and {{t|Water}}.  {{p|Articuno}} is my favorite legendary (the first one I ever caught), and whenever I catch it, I keep it in my team as my {{m|Fly|aerial transport}}.  My favorite teams are fighters that can hit fast and hard, Pokémon like {{p|Pidgeot}}, {{p|Gyarados}}, and {{p|Dragonite}} (they can for me, anyway).  I definitely focus more on the {{stat|Attack|offensive}} {{stat|Special Attack|aspect}}, rather than defensive or support moves.  I am happy to say that I have completed a [[living Pokédex]] in my Diamond version, all 493 species.  But before you accuse me of cheating, I just want to say that I do have an [[Action Replay]], though I only used it for the event legendaries.
