Menametlg's Battle Strategy

BLISSEY

Blissey,as the pokedex states, is a type of pokemon with unfailing caring to every pokemon. It can sense sadness with its fluffy fur and it can make them happy by sharing its egg, thus, calling her the Happiness Pokemon.

The Pokemon's Overview

Blissey, much like its pre-evolution Chansey, is know for having a very high hit point and special defense yet low in defense and attack. Blissey is good in status moves like toxic and healing wave and also in double and triple battle, thanks to its move set and ability called healer.

The Strategy

I have three good strategy for Blissey. I will call them as "Wish upon the falling star", "One hit, Double Repent" and "I'm charming yet dangerous".

Wish Upon the Falling Star

Types:
Normal Unknown
Ability:
Serene Grace
Held item:
Bag Shell Bell Sprite.png Shell Bell
Blissey Lv.100
Wish
Normal Status
Thunder Wave
Electric Status
Heal Pulse
Psychic Status
Shadow Ball
Ghost Special

A Blissey with Shell Bell and Wish can help her to retain her original hit point. When the battle starts, don't forget to use Thunder Wave first so that you can always go first before the opponent. Next is use Shadow Ball. Thanks to her Serene Grace and the chance on lowering the opponent's special defense will be doubled to 40%. Healing Wave is just optional for double and triple battle.

Other optional moves...

As exchange for Healing wave, you can add Focus Blast. Serene Grace will double the chance of lowering the target's special defense.

One Hit, Double Repent

242.png
Types:
Normal Unknown
Ability:
Healer
Held item:
Bag Focus Band Sprite.png Focus Band
Blissey Lv.100
Softboiled
Normal Status
Sunny Day
Fire Status
SolarBeam
Grass Special
Counter
Fighting Physical

Ow, do you think you're dreaming? No you aren't! Blissey have a terrible defense so it means that once you use Counter, which have a lower priority, it will double the damage it receive. Are you afraid that your Blissey will die in a single blow? You're coward! That is why I suggest to let her hold a Focus Band or Focus Sash so she will not die! Use Sunny Day if your opponent is a Sp. Attacker then use Solar Beam. Use Softboiled if you lost some HP.

Other optional moves...

As exchange for Sunny Day and Solar Beam, Return and Psych Up. Return will double the power of your opponent, thanks to the STAB. Psych Up is effective if the opponent is a Support Mover.

I'm Charming yet Dangerous

242.png
Types:
Normal Unknown
Ability:
Serene Grace
Held item:
Bag Razor Claw Sprite.png Razor Claw
Blissey Lv.100
Softboiled
Normal Status
Flamethrower
Fire Special
Calm Mind
Psychic Status
Attract
Normal Status

Yeah! Finally my favorite. Remember, don't try to mess with my Blissey or else, you die! Serene Grace plus Razor Claw is a good combination especially when your pokemon's move can give status. Flamethrower have 10% chance on burning your opponent. If the critical hit add, it can even give more damage. Calm Mind raises the Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense making her to grow stronger. Attract will immobilized the opponent, just remember to use it only against the male!

Other optional moves...

If you don't like Flamethrower, change it to any special attack that have a chance on giving the target a status. The best one in exchange is Blizzard or Thunderbolt.

BRELOOM

Breloom is a dual type grass/fighting type pokemon and the final evolution of Shroomish. Breloom was based on mushroom and kangaroo.

Like Shroomish, Breloom can released spores from its head, as the pokedex said, that can caused several status ailments. Breloom also a good physical battler and also have a good speed. Most of its moves need its arms and hands to battle. Others are status and draining moves.

The Pokemon's Overview

Breloom have two unique moves: one that attacks the opponent first before it can even move and the other is to hit the high opponent.

Breloom also live as a group with Shroomish, where they help in foraging berries and defeating enemies and invaders. They will attack the opponents without any hesitation just to protect its group.

The Strategy

Since Breloom is a good battler, I have two suggested strategies. One was called, "I'm a technian" and "No poison can affects me"

I'm a Technician

286.png
Types:
Grass Fighting
Ability:
Technician
Held item:
Bag Big Root Sprite.png Big Root
Breloom Lv.100
Force Palm
Fighting Physical
Leech Seed
Grass Status
Bulk Up
Fighting Status
Mach Punch
Fighting Physical

Technician will raised the based power of the moves with less than 60. Mach Punch and Force Palm are both lower than 60 which means it will increase the based power for those moves. STAB will also help. Big Root and Leech Seed is a good combination since Big root will add additional 30% on the HP received. Bulk Up will increase both Attack and Defense

Other optional moves...

Since Breloom is lacking in Sp. Attack, you can add Mega Drain as exchange for Leech Seed. Drop Force Palm for Sky Uppercut if you want a stronger move.

No Poison Can Affects Me

286.png
Types:
Grass Fighting
Ability:
Poison Heal
Held item:
Bag Toxic Orb Sprite.png Toxic Orb
Breloom Lv.100
Facade
Normal Physical
Fling
Dark Physical
Substitute
Normal Status
Mach Punch
Fighting Physical

OMG! I'm going to poison my own pokemon? It's fine don't worry. Breloom's ability is Poison Heal which means, it will heal him instead to take damage. Facade will double its power since your pokemon is poisoned. Mach Punch can always go before your target. Fling is just an optional moves. Since Breloom is holding a toxic orb, it will poison the target. Substitute will enter once your opponent is very strong.

Other optional moves...

If you only have one Toxic Orb drop Fling for Toxic since it was the purpose of the move. You can drop Substitute for Swords Dance to raise the power of Breloom.

RAPIDASH

Rapidash is a fire type pokemon and was based on unicorn. This pokemon can be found normally in mountain along with other pokemon.

Rapidash is also good in speed. As the pokedex states, it can run at 150 miles per hour. This is the reason why Rapidash is the best pokemon in transportation.

The Pokemon's Overview

At high speed, Rapidash is a good pokemon for revenge and one-hit-dead strategy. It is also good in some move combos [e.g. Sunny Day + Morning Sun].

The Strategy

Since Rapidash is not as good as the other pokemon, I will only give one. I will called it "STABber"

STABber

Types:
Fire Unknown
Ability:
Flash Fire
Held item:
Bag Charcoal Sprite.png Charcoal
Rapidash Lv.100
Sunny Day
Fire Status
Flare Blitz
fire Physical
Morning Sun
Normal Status
SolarBeam
Grass Special

Yeah! STAB strategy! Charcoal plus Sunny Day plus STAB and you can also add Flash Fire if was hit by a fire type moves, it will caused a great disaster after you use Flare Blitz. Solarbeam and Morning Sun are really useful after you use Sunny day.

Other optional moves...

Don't you think Flare Blitz is a bad move since it cause recoil damage? Drop it for Flamewheel or Purgatory instead.
