When I was younger my mom didn't allow me to see, watch, or play Pokémon. I was very excited when she finally allowed me to start watching the TV show. I think I binged the first 3 seasons on Youtube, and from there, my love for Pokémon kicked off. I've watched almost every pokemon episode, movie, and special, including the banned ones. A couple of years after the release of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, and Pokémon SoulSilver, my sister gave me the games to play. That was when I truly connected to pokemon. I traveled through Johto and maxed out my team to level 100 with my Typhlosion, Ty, and in Explorers of Sky, our partner and Grovyle taught us all about the value of life. Since Pokémon Black, I've been an avid pokemon fan within the community. I'm still waiting for a Diamond and Pearl remake. When I was younger, I was obsessed with the TCG, and I have tons of cards still in my closet. I used to go every Saturday with my dad to a store where they held official Pokémon TCG tournaments. I made some friends there and learned a lot, and in the process defeated almost every opponent I had. It was a really good deck somehow put together by 11-year-old me. Though I don't actually play anymore, sometimes I'll walk by the trading card aisle at the store, and I'll buy a small pack from the new expansion for fun.
