(Japanese: ハッパ Happa) is a Grass-type Pokémon in the Pokémon Gold and Silver demo. It is #152 in the demo's Pokédex. In the final version of the game, it was renamed Chikorita.

It evolves into Hanamogura, which evolves into Hanaryū starting at level 32. Along with Honōguma and Kurusu, Happa is one of the first partner Pokémon available in the demo.

Its name comes from 葉っぱ happa, meaning leaf.

Kurusu is based upon a seal, and its name may come from cruise.

Pichu is a combination of ピカピカ pikapika (onomatopoeia for sparkle) and チューチュー chūchū (the sound of squeaking). It may also be a play on プチ puchi (petit). Pichu is ultimately a diminutive of Pikachu.

Rīfi

(Japanese: リーフィ Rīfi) is a Grass-type Pokémon in the Pokémon Gold and Silver demo. It is #251 in the demo's Pokédex. While not present in the final version of Pokémon Gold and Silver, it would return as Leafeon in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.

It evolves from Eevee when exposed to a Leaf Stone. It is one of Eevee's final forms, the others being Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Eifie, and Blacky.

Its name comes from leafy.
