The Pokémon Tropical Mega Battle took place every year between 1999 through 2001 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu, Hawaii. This event was a TCG battle between the best players from Canada, Latin America, Europe, the United States, and Japan. Approximately 50 players attended the event each year.

Entry

As this was an invite-only event, players had to win in a local event. In the United States, Trainer Showdowns were held across the country. The top player(s) of each tournament got invitations to the Tropical Mega Battle in Hawaii.
